Display what you love...

My mom and dad are still here but leaving today....
We've had a great visit and as always they have been so helpful to me.
Our screened door was damaged in a storm and my dad glued it back together
and added an old fashioned spring so when you go in and out now,
you hear that wonderful spring and slam!!

I just love these pins!!!
These are what I used to pin all of the drop cloth curtains onto my
display shelves in the studio...I used all that I had.
Do you know where I can find any more??
I like this pic too, isn't it wonderful? :)

UPDATE:
A sweet reader, Jennifer, found the pins HERE!!!
YAAAY!! I had to order four packs they were such a great deal...

After the studio post, I can't tell you enough how wonderful it is
to pull that amazing old stuff out of your drawers, boxes or whatever and
display it so you can SEE IT!!
Just so you can enjoy it each and every day....

I so love this precious boy....

I ran across another unfinished project in the process of cleaning the studio.
This French journal I started, ugh, a few YEARS ago...
I need to get this finished and get it in the shop too :)

A precious baby doll I have...
for my baby doll friends :)

Another crazy post....to add to so many others ;)

Wishing you a beautiful Thursday dear friends,
hugs and love,
Dawn

I think you like candy...the real candy...too. Such cool things you have. Ohhh, that's how you put on the skirts...that works. They have them at Wal*Mart or did recently...in the shower curtain area. They do NOT look as vintage and wonderful as that, though.

Glad you are enjoying your visit with your parents, Dawn. After I posted my room and was visiting other people's I actually added in a bit more! I used a storage bin I had in another room that wasn't doing much of anything to hold some fabric. Rather than having it just piled on the shelf. And I wound up finally doing three wall hanging pieces that I've been wanting to do for awhile now. I hung them up on a wall above a shelf that was calling out for something to fill it. On top of that, I found a little shelf at Goodwill that I think I can fit in there somewhere to hold some little jars or containers of supplies. Finally, I'm getting some chalk paint to paint my tables after seeing so many white ones. I think it will lighten it up and maybe make it feel a little bigger.

I always enjoy my visit with you:). I grew up with a slamming screen door and have one on my pool house. I can hear our old screen door just by closing my eyes. Have a blessed day dear friend. Hugs

We have those screen doors in our cabin and I love them! Sounds like home! Sorry I missed your Mom and Dad while they were here. You should call me next time they are here and we'll all get together. I miss you all. Don't forget me for the baby shower. I follow Emily on FB and just love her! And of course I love me some baby girls and boys!

What treasures you have (besides your mom and dad!)! The pic of the little boy is too adorable.:)

I found a couple of sources for your pins, but I'll have to email you, since I can't figure out how to copy-and-paste a link in this post. xoxo

I adore your random posts of things that come to mind. How sweet of your dad to fix your screen door. I so agree...display your treasures so you get to enjoy them. I am inspired to get some of mine out of drawers and display them to enjoy. They do make me happy as I know yours do for you. Blissful Dear...

I love peeks into your beautiful, creative world, Dawn. :-)

One of the things I love most about our house is the creaky slam of the screen door, such a comforting sound!

XO,
Anne

I order those sweet little pins from Oriental Trading-- I also love Vera Wang at Kohls and she uses all of those for her tags-- so I save every one if I get something new

Lovely things in your studio. I have also come round to the fact that I prefer to have beautiful things out around me when I am 'working'. Both for inspiration and just because they are lovely.

I love the old wood screen doors, too. We had a screened in porch but tok it down to put on an addition. We have a deck but that is not anywhere near to a screened in porch and hearing the slam of the wood screen door!! I love it. Thanks, Linda
