For you dear friends....

I scanned these precious babies for you ~

be sure to look at the bottom of my blog for advice on how to save

the very largest size, and they are big!

Their faces are just precious....

We've been sprucing up a bit to get ready for Clara's birthday party and

just to prettify the place too!

I bought a teeny hydrangea bush

and planted it right under our bedroom windows ~

And I re-potted my new ferns in their wire baskets ~

I just love how they look on this old front porch!

Now to just water them every other day so they will flourish.

As much as I love the beautiful blooms,

I had to trim the front bushes and the wisteria,

it was encroaching on them and will take over if you let it!

The azaleas are blooming, this poor specimen is raggedy but so happy Spring is here.

I also bought a hanging basket that was filled with snapdragons ~

Surely they're not the kind that get really tall since they were sold in a hanging pot.

I had a beautiful wire basket that I lined with moss and re-planted them inside.

A perfect centerpiece for my little iron table on the porch!

It's beginning to look like Spring around this old farmhouse!

Treasures FOUND sweet friends!!!

They may be small...but that's what I LOVE!

After owning my own antiques store and hauling big pieces of furniture

in and out of the shop, I so enjoy that now the treasures I search for

are really quite small and lightweight!!

I was able to smash all of these goodies

into my little carry-on suitcase

that I took and brought home from Waxahachie!

Here we go....

first, look at this amazingly old ink pad I found!

I don't care what's inside,

and I know it's all dried up but just look at

the incredible GRAPHICS on the case!!!!

and a few goodies from the antique shops in Waxahachie too!

And I just love this wonderful bookmark Lisa found for me!

I have a thing for teeny, tiny buttons...

And look at these wonderful velvet leaves Troy and Rod had....

I think I was foaming at the mouth

when I found these!

Plus they had a wonderful doll clothes pattern too!

Troy knew right away that I would love it and pulled it out

of a bin for me ~ how cool is that?

I have fallen in love with velvet boxes.

This is a small one...but oh-so-pretty ~

Here are my purchases from The Crafty Scrapper in Waxahachie ~

They were so kind to host our Paper Cowgirl classes....

The metal tags will be perfect embellishments for my artwork,

and just look at the vanilla velvet ribbon....

Gifts from my precious friend Lisa....she so knows what I love!

And last, but certainly not least,

look what I found at the W-mart in Waxahachie....

Blue ticking and TAN ticking too!!!!

I HAD to get a couple yards of each :)

Well, that's my haul sweet friends!

I do have one little bitty thing coming with my tools

that Lisa shipped home for me and

Sweet, sweet Spring.....

Spring has definitely arrived here in Georgia!!!

Our high temps have been in the mid 80's and there is a

lovely yellow layer of sticky pollen on every thing outside!

I am happy though, I finally have four massive Boston ferns hanging

on our big ol' porch again and I don't know why,

but they always make me smile ~

A few precious shots of Clara her mama took the other day....

Clara is an animal whisperer just like her mama ~

I received a sweet little parcel while I was gone

from Honolulu, Hawaii!

I won a giveaway from Lilla of Just Lilla

and have always loved her beautiful artwork...

This piece is no exception either,

I just LOVE IT!!!

Thank you so much dear Lilla,

it's already hanging in my studio to inspire me.

We have wisteria growing here and there around the farmhouse...

mostly on the old fence that surrounds the property.

But it seems a few stray seeds must have

landed in the bed over the railing of our front porch.

They smell heavenly and are so beautiful but are chock full

of sneeze producing pollen!

I've been busy getting a few goodies together for sweet Clara's 3rd birthday party

this weekend. We're having it here and it will be a "down on the farm" theme!!

Clara loves animals so much, it seemed just perfect :)

And today is our 31st wedding anniversary!

Wow. 31 years. Where in the world had the time gone??!!

I love you so much honey....here's to 31 more!!!!!
