From my heart ~

I was at the store the other day.
And yes, you all know which one, right?
Because I live in a little country town we HAVE one
and can't seem to avoid it!!

Anyway...I looked at the card selection for the perfect
Mother's Day card for my sweet mom.
Nothing.
Nothing really grabbed me.
Yes, there were pretty cards but still,
I hesitated.

I admit that I did hesitate at five bucks a pop,
but I also kept telling myself...
make your own.
Say what YOU want to say!

So I did.
Here is my creative effort for today
but truly?
I'm so pleased!

This card was created by her daughter
and speaks from the heart...
I love my mama so much ~

Never hesitate to make your own cards...
and share your own thoughts and words.

Wishing you a wonderful Wednesday precious friends ~
hugs and love,
Dawn

Confessions of a distracted artist ~

I do admit it.
I've been terribly distracted since the first of the year!
Yes, I've made a few things and it seems as of late
sewing is REALLY my thing...
but I am feeling urges to create something different.
Maybe something nature inspired?
With nests and beautiful specked eggs?

We've had some goodness going on around here lately!!
We have a new-to-us vehicle so I can definitely get my junkin' on again...
it's in wonderful shape and I just love it!!!!
I really am a home-body but love the option of getting out and
finding some goodies to re-purpose!

Thank you always for stopping by to see what I'm up to ~

Wishing you a beautiful Tuesday sweet friends!!
hugs and love,
Dawn

Words of wisdom...

Sometimes you read words that speak volumes to you...
the following poem does that to me.

DUST IF YOU MUST

Dust if you must, but wouldn't it be better
To paint a picture or write a letter,
Bake a cake or plant a seed,
Ponder the difference between want and need?

Dust if you must, but there's not much time,
With rivers to swim and mountains to climb,
Music to hear and books to read,
Friends to cherish and life to lead.

Dust if you must, the world's out there,
With the sun in your eyes, and the wind in your hair,
A flutter of snow, a shower of rain.
This day will not come around again.

Dust if you must, but bear in mind,
Old age will come and it's not kind.
And when you go - and go you must -
You, yourself, will make more dust.

I saw this poem on Facebook this weekend and just KNEW
you would love it!!!!

Happy Monday sweet angels ~
hugs and love,
Dawn
