Simple beauty ~

When I see our dear mail lady pull into our driveway, I know she probably has something wonderful ~ and yes, it may not be for me....but I can always wish!!! Look at what she's brought recently....

Lori of My Faerie Window sent me the most precious gift ~ a few carefully chosen treasures that she KNEW I would love!!! The sweetest little baby dress, baby photograph, baby card and a bundle of gorgeous vintage lace.....I just had to share it all with you!!

Lori, thank you so very much dear friend, you are such an angel for doing this,
I absolutely love it all!

Another wonderful parcel arrived...I won a giveaway on Kim's blog, Gerushia's New World. She sent me three of her amazing art prints!! I just LOVE them Kim, thank you so much!! They are perfect inspiration for my studio ~

I wanted to share these simple buttons with you. I found them at the antique mall the other day for a mere $3.50. Some are a little dirty, some have fragments of thread remaining, even a few are broken. They have such a simple beauty ~

I hope your day is filled with simple beauty ~
hugs and love,
Dawn

What is it about buttons that are so special! Boxes and bowls and jars of them tempt!
I like the "lacy" one in your stash the best. It stands out among the rest. What will Dawn do with it I wonder??

Love it all! Especially the buttons ..but I have a weakness for old buttons :-)

I am such a ditz..I purchased the Christmas glitter-shaker tutorial from you and I cannot for the life of me remember how I "saved" it on my computer - is it possible to re-send it to me? f not, that's OK, I will eventually find it - but if so, I'm at

Thanks Dawn and have a wonderful day!

Who needs therapy when you have friends who "Get You". What goes around, comes around Miz Dawn, it is so true. I love fun mail. As far as buttons,,,that "is" one of the best forms of therapy.
Merry Christmas!

Thank you so much for your kindness. I'm glad that you received the prints and that you are pleased with them.

What is it about handfuls of old buttons that just make people smile?

Hi Dawn! I'm recuperating from a nasty virus and feel better this morning, so where do I go first? Your blog, naturally, to see what wonderful things are there! I love all your posts, but this one in particular touched me--you have so many sweet friends! And those buttons! I have collected vintage buttons for years and grab some every chance I get--they seem to be getting more and more expensive around here, but you got a fantastic bargain! Thank you for always sharing your treasures with everyone!

Precious them all. But what is it about buttons that we can't resist? Each one a time traveler, a precious litte jewel. My granddaughte is hooked on buttons. When she comes over she loves to use them instead of colors. Fill in the picture and there you go. Frame it, save it or pop them off and start all over again.
Have a wonderful day,
Zandra
