My wonderful treasures from Texas ~

Well, since I don't travel very much (at all)

I didn't know quite how to handle shopping in Texas

and then getting my loot back home to Georgia ~

All I took was a carry on bag with a teeny tiny amount

of room left inside :)

So what did I do???

CRAMMED IT IN!!

My carry on bag looked like it was going to EXPLODE!

I did shop for tiny things...here are my treasures:

Plus I had several precious gifts from Ann...
a pair of handmade pillowcases and

the most INCREDIBLE journal I've ever laid my eyes on.....

I admit it, I cried when she gave it to me ~
please look at how beautiful it is...

Lisa showered me with gifts the ENTIRE time I was there...books,

magazines...and wonderful old goodies she knew I'd love ~

Lisa son Philip even gave me a drawing!!

Here are some of the treasures Lisa gifted me..
beautiful old cabinet cards, buttons, lace and jewelry plus
gorgeous French General fabric that I'd been dying for....
and even a wonderful book that Beth sent her!!!

But these tiny little children's bedroom shoes were what made me cry!!!

So very old, soft and small....

What inspires me?

Blogs, books, magazines and so many other things...

but poking around in amazing little antique shops

ALWAYS

inspires me!!!

As Lisa and I were making our way to Ann's heavenly cottage and shop

we stopped at another wonderful store Debbie told us about,

Pandora's Box in Frankston, Texas...

the first of this week....

a sinus infection and lovely bronchitis!!!

So many kindred spirits ~

It seems this blogging world gathers together
those who truly are kindred spirits ~

I've made so many friends
by having this ol' blog and the wonderful thing is

we all love the same things!!!!

Our blogs attract like-minded friends...

artistic friends,

decorating friends,

friends with teenagers,

friends with toddlers,

friends who love to sew,

or friends who maybe even enjoy cooking!!!!

The list goes on and on, doesn't it?

Those who end up reading your blog and the blogs you end up

loving as well will most likely have TONS in common with you and

then you know you are indeed,

kindred spirits!!!

I arrived at the airport last Thursday afternoon
and found Lisa and her sweet babies waiting

for me right outside and we didn't even skip a beat!!!!

Right from talking on the phone to

flapping our jaws in person....

it was wonderful ~

Well, Friday we took off and were on our way to Ann's

but had planned a stop at Winnie & Tulula's

to meet Debby of Talkin' Trash and enjoy this incredible shop!!

We had the MOST fun with sweet Deb of Talking Trash and had

lunch at the bistro inside the shop ~ it was so DELISH!!

 We loved the menus created from old books and torn papers....

The gorgeous space of Daphne Nicole & Lynda Cade ~

It was such a great afternoon!! I just love these girls.....

I hope you've enjoyed the tour...OH and I forgot to tell you,

I bought the most INCREDIBLY beautiful

net panels to hang in our living room

on those huge old windows!!!

And you know as soon as I have them hung I'll give you a peek :)
