Sharing wishes of Spring!

It's been a terribly cold winter here in Georgia and
it seems I can't stop thinking of longer, warmer days to come.

So I thought I would post a few pretty images of Spring to cheer us all up!

Freshening up a bit!

I thought I would share a little peek of the house wren's nest

on our front porch!

It's looks complete to me but still no little ones yet...

I've seen the mama bird fly out of it though ~

This past winter I lost the ivy plants on our porch so I headed to Lowe's and bought

replacements. These planters flank our front door and I love the wire forms

that the ivy grows on. Hopefully they will grow fast and look wonderful soon!

I also found a pretty ivy plant to go in the terra cotta pot on our iron table too!

A beautiful treat arrived in Saturday's mail....

a gift I won from Martha of MJ Ornaments on Facebook!!!

I love bunnies and was so happy when I found out I won ~

now they hang in my studio! Thank you so much Martha!!!

And I just have to share these wonderful photos of Clara ~

She went fishing with her dad (our oldest son, Brent) Saturday and

just look at her!!!

She's old enough now to really enjoy it and is absolutely FEARLESS!

The sweet gift of Spring ~

This past winter has been a ROUGH one!!!

Even here in Georgia...it has been terrible!

But isn't it so wonderful that we have the promise of spring?

The trees are blooming like crazy here and of course,

daffodils are popping up ALL OVER!

Today was absolutely gorgeous!

The high was about 68 degrees and

there wasn't a cloud in the sky!

I'm so ready for this beautiful weather...

pollen and all!!!

Sprucing up a bit!

What is it about spring that makes you want to

freshen up your home?

I'm in the mood and when that happens...

I have GO WITH IT!

I have put off painting our master bath for FOREVER now

and now is the time. I was going to paint it pale blue but

chickened out and went with a pretty tan.

The bottom half of the room has paintable wallpaper that

resembles old ceiling tins...I need to paint the molding too.

Can you see that hideous green I'm covering up?? YIKES!

My Mom and Dad are in town for a few days and

Dad is putting in new bathroom floors for us too!!!

YAAAY!!! I love it...

Inklings of Spring ~

We've had several beautiful days as of late here in Georgia.

The temps have been mild and

buds are bursting open on most all of our flowering trees!

Then of course, in typical Georgia fashion,

this week we had a below freezing temperatures again

and fierce winds that were awful.

But it's coming.

Today is another beauty even though it's a little chilly!
