So, how are things in your world?

I do hope they are so good....

Isn't it amazing how the internet pulls us all together,

even though our lives, surroundings and circumstances

are all so very different.

But we crave beauty, inspiration and the knowledge

that there are other kindred spirits around the world

that love what we love.

Lisa called me the other day

and told me about this new line coming in at Michael's!

I love all that is French General so I high-tailed it to my local store....

my budget was a little limited that day but I did come home with these!

You will just LOVE this line....

A few years ago I had the privilege of meeting sweet Fifi O'Neill when she came

to Georgia to shoot a friend of mine's home....

She was the editor of Romantic Country magazine at the time and

has also freelanced for so many other magazines too!

Well, this girl has OUTDONE herself!!!!

I picked up the recent issue of Romantic Prairie Style magazine this weekend.

Fifi is the editor and I just have to say ~

I LOVE IT!!!!!!!

It is FILLED to the brim with all the things we all love....

I just have to share a few peeks inside

but you have GOT to go get a copy,

I promise you will love it so much.

Here's a little look at what I'm up to in the studio....I'm such a nut.

If I have someone want one needle book, I have to cut out FIFTEEN!

What is most precious to me???

These angels are my gift in this life.

I was blessed enough to have five beautiful sons

and can you EVEN believe it....

I was able to take a photo of them ALL yesterday!!!!

That was gift enough for me!!

They are lined up oldest on the left.....

all the way to youngest on the right ~

Brent - 28, David - 26, Brad - 24, Chase - 20 and Noah - 13

all posed in front of the big pecan tree in the back yard ~

So....do you think I've been a busy mama?

YES!!!!

We had a big ol' cookout....David was our master chef!

Barbeque ribs on the grill,

roasted corn on the cob,

baked beans,

and of course....garlic bread!

And this little angel, the daughter of Brent our oldest....

Our sweet granddaughter Clara had SUCH a fun time

at our Mother's Day celebration ~

Being a Mimi is a wonderful thing you know...

and Ellie is right on her heels, making sure all is good with the world.

The chickens even joined in the party!!!

We let them free range and they had a blast while we cooked out!

What's so funny is they all ended up right back in their little pen....

they know it's their safe zone I guess :)

I love you Mama....

Mother 

I think God took the fragrance 

of a flower,

A pure white flower, which blooms 

not for world praise

But which makes sweet and beautiful 

some bower;

The compassion of the dew, 

which gently lays

Reviving freshness on 

the fainting earth,

And gives to all the tired things 

new birth;

The steadfastness and radiance 

of stars

Which lift the soul above 

confining bars;

The gladness of fair dawns; 

the sunset's peace;

Contentment which from trivial rounds

I think God took these precious things

 and made of them...mothers.

A tribute to a mother's love ~

A Mother's Love

There are times when only a Mother's love
Can understand our tears,
Can soothe our disappointments
And calm all of our fears.

 

There are times when only a Mother's love
Can share the joy we feel
When something we've dreamed about
Quite suddenly is real.

There are times when only a Mother's faith
Can help us on life's way
And inspire in us the confidence
We need from day to day.

For a Mother's heart and a Mother's faith
And a Mother's steadfast love
Were fashioned by the Angels
And sent from God above.

I wanted  to share just a few images that I've collected over the years
that would be perfect for a Mother's Day card!!

Being the mother to our five sons has truly been the most important,

hard and wonderful thing I've ever done and continue to do.

If I do nothing else in this lifetime...

this alone has been such a joy and honor to me.
