Ahhhh . . . livin' the life ~

Here's my son Brad's cat again, Paxton. Don't you think he has a hard life? :)

Sweet images that I love ~

We had a wonderful Father's Day. We relaxed at home and DH made a yummy meal for us because he just loves to cook. Chicken Enchiladas, Shrimp Bisque and Lemon Pound Cake!!! Delish!

Today we start getting ready for our BIG yard sale this Saturday. I have tons of things to price and signs to make!
Hope you have a very happy Monday!!!

Good luck with your yard sale. Here's a tip we used for ours this year. We bought colored round labels (2 packs with 4 different colors...one pack was fluorescent, the other regular) at the office supply store. I made a couple of posters with the labels (I put several labels together to form a little flower-like blob) and a corresponding price. For example, light green = 10 cents; medium green 0= 25 cents; dark green = 50 cents, etc. I used these labels for prices up to $10 (10 cents, 25 cents, 50 cents, $1, $2.50, $5, $7.50, $10). Anything that I wanted more than $10 for, I made a hand-written label. We were selling most of our stuff for under $10. Since I didn't have to write on labels, it was the fastest pricing preparation I've ever done. And our customers loved it, especially the kids!

Dawn, You are sweet and thoughtful to update me on the mail progress, but I truly feel no rush. I am enjoying the anticipation. I drive my daughter nuts because I am never in a rush for presents. I always enjoy the wait. Winning your art = big present for me.

So, I continue to enjoy my wait. Of course, I will let you know when it arrives. Thanks again for all the joy.

Forgot to add, I also took digital pictures of everything that was left at the end of the sale, before packing the items up for donation. That way, I have an accurate list for itemizing what I donated when tax time comes around.

Dawn, I just saw the latest Somerset Studio with your article! It is so wonderful! Congratulations!!!! Jenny Doh also was kind enough to reprint my artwork and correct the credit error in last months issue on my piece. So we are both in there together-haha! Your page is such a restful way to finish the magazine.
huge hugs,
Pam

Yes, that is the life~lazing around like a cute kitty, having hubby cook his own Father's Day dinner, and devouring all that delectable food! I'd like to try all three, only with the cat nap after eating! Sounds like you did have a great day!

Good luck on the yard sale!
