What a wonderful ending to our year!

I hope you had a very Merry Christmas!
Our family had a GREAT one!!!

We were fortunate to be able to have our family party
on Christmas Eve at Brad and Davey's gorgeous home
and it was absolutely beautiful!
The food was delicious and just look at our precious family!!!

We had two family members that weren't able to make
it to the party Christmas eve though...
David and Heather were at the hospital
having our third grandchild Owen!!!

We received a call from the hospital and rushed over of course!

Here are a few photos of our evening and a few of the house too ~

A beautiful gift to Emily from Chase honoring their sweet dog Lola
that passed away a few weeks ago.

Our delicious spread of food!

Brad and Davey's sweet cat Paxton!
Even he was in a festive mood!

I love this spot in their home.
It's the breezeway from the main house to the carriage house.
It's it beautiful?

One of the first Christmas gifts my husband gave me that I've passed on to Brad.
A sweet Christmas house on the silver tray...

AND SO...
we headed off to the hospital just in time for precious Owen to be born!
He had a few breathing issues and had to be hooked up
to oxygen but after a few days he was perfectly fine.

What a calm disposition he has and he was so bright eyed too!!!!
Welcome to the world sweet Owen!!!
We love you so very much ~

Heather and Owen!!!
A love like none other is a mother's love for her child.

Our son with his son.
What a blessing!!!!

Things are settling down now...
parties are over, gifts are given.

Now it's time for me to get into my studio and
TOTALLY clean it from TOP TO BOTTOM!!!
Plus I want to finish up decorating the guest bedroom.
I'll be sure to share my progress too!

I'm so very thankful for this life,
our family, friends and many blessings.

Thank you as well for stopping by to see what's
going on in my little corner of the world!

hugs and love,
Dawn

A beautiful shower for precious Baby Owen!

This sweet baby shower was MONTHS in the making!

Planning, making lists, creating special touches...
and then, just a week or so ago,
we finally had the baby shower to welcome our
precious new grandson, Owen!

Our second to oldest son David and the love of his life Heather
are expecting little Owen any day now too!

I just had to share a few (A BUNCH!) photos from the shower ~
It was held in our son Brad's and his partner Davey's unbelievable home...
it will take your breath away!!!
Davey is an interior designer by trade, and it SHOWS!!!

The incredible baby cake that my sister-in-law Julie made!!!
She SO outdid herself this time!!!

The topper was created using a pretty pottery cradle that our son Brad purchased.
A dear friend Tammy did the gorgeous floral arrangement inside.

Below is a basket of favors for the guests.
There were over 50 people invited so we chose
an open house format.
Guests arriving from 2 pm until 5 pm, presenting their gift,
visiting, enjoying refreshments and leaving when they needed to.
It worked out wonderfully!!!

Below is our beautiful spread of food!!
So many helped me with this!
Our oldest son Brent, his wife Emily...Heather's mom Dianne...
her stepmom Sylvia...Davey and Brad...Julie, it truly took a village
but came together beautifully!!!!

I actually went to Brad and Davey's house Saturday evening
before the shower on Sunday afternoon.
THIS was my room for the night!!!!
I felt like a princess!

The dining room before the shower.

Our sweet guest of honor and mommy-to-be Heather!!!

The shower in progress!
Yes, they even built a wonderful fire!
It was a cold, rainy afternoon but not inside ~

My dear sister-in-law Julie with her beautiful cake!!!

Corsages I made for Heather and David ~

Tags for the favor bags!
I made these to cinch up five Hershey kisses in a white tulle circle.
Tied up with a pretty bow.
Of course I had to use my favorite...seam binding!

Something so sweet...
David's precious little newborn outfit that he wore home from the hospital.
I gave it to Heather for Owen to wear!

I love you both so very much and can't
wait to meet precious Owen!

I hope you've enjoyed my baby shower post ~
I know it's tons of photos but I just couldn't leave anything out!
So now we wait...he's due any day now!

I hope you're staying cozy and warm this December.
Thank you always for stopping by to see me!

hugs and love,
Dawn

A Total MAJOR Room Makeover!

Well, our littlest one...Noah has moved out!
At almost 19 years old now, he has a full time job
and has moved in with his next oldest brother Chase who's 25 going on 26!

They love their new home and truthfully,
I LOVE IT TOO! It is so very perfect for them both!

So what do I do for mama therapy?
Transform his teeny little bedroom into a guest room!!!

Here are a few before and afters ~

Yes, that is spackling. The boy put so many push pins in the wall!!!!

This is the jacked up bed that I bought for 75.00.
It had so many spaces, cracks and flaws but I think I managed to fill them all!

The photo below is an inspiration photograph!
I love herbarium prints and have tons so I will have a wall filled with them!!!!

Just before assembling the bed!!!

My first herbarium page framed!!! Only 14 more to go!

A beautiful lamb print hanging over the bed.
I will add more goodness to each side of the frame though!!!
I love it all so much already ~

I'll share more soon but have been swamped with so very much lately ~
Thank you always for stopping by!

hugs and love,
Dawn
