And what do YOU miss?

I've been thinking a little bit lately ~
yes, I know, that's quite DANGEROUS!
But anyway ~ I've been thinking of what I miss.
What, you say?
I mean miss from my younger days.
I know I'm only 52 and it's supposed to be the new 32...
YEAH RIGHT.

It seems raising five beautiful, respectful sons has simply
taken it's toll on myself AND their father!

So back to what I miss.
I miss my youthful energy.
You know what I'm talking about, don't you?
I used to paint a room in no time flat.
I would rearrange the furniture in one day and have the
house looking like it was always that way!
I could accomplish so. many. things in just ONE DAY!

ANYWAY...
I just have to share my finished elf/fairy shoes with you ~
Both pairs have already sold without me listing them but
I still had to share!

And I don't think I've shared with you any recent photos
of our precious granddaughter Clara and grandson Murray lately!
Here they are playing at the playground together...
can you believe how big they are???
Clara will be FIVE this month!

Precious Murray just LOVES being outside like his big sis!

How blessed are we....

Wishing you a wonderful Thursday my dear friends!
hugs and love,
Dawn

Sweet Dawn,
I know how you feel! Everything you said is as if you were talking about me. I used to have so much energy and could almost move the world in a day and now ... I miss the same as you do.
Love the photos of your grandbabies and your elf shoes are as always stunning!
Wishing you a wonderful day.
Many hugs and much love,

I'm 53 and feel the same way. In the mornings I have a lot of energy and get things done, by the time I get home from work I AM DONE!

Your grandchildren are just adorable!

I try to keep busy to keep my energy and enthusiasm levels up
I do enjoy just setting in my recliner and taking a senior nap some days also LOL
Grandchildren do keep us going that is for sure

You are in good company Dawn, I look back on what I used to accomplish in one day and just marvel! I wish I knew how to reverse this trend I am seeing in myself and I can't quite figure out if the slow down is mental or physical, probably some of both I'm afraid. I'm trying to weed out things in my life that just don't matter that much and take too much time, to make more of a place for the things I love...and creating is surely one of them....making the bed everyday just isn't really as much of a priority as it used to be! Love your little fairy shoes, they have your special touch, which I love. Your babes are growing so fast! Don't we sometimes wish we could freeze time a little bit? Have a wonderful day! Linda

It just seems like a day goes by so fast, all of a sudden it is gone and I haven't got anything done at all, except play with kids! I also think that grandkids take more time than their parents did, I used to get things done while my sons did other things. When my grands are around, I want to just be with them.

Hi Dawn,
Girl, I know what you mean about slowing down. I used to have tons of energy ~ could work out in the garden all day and then decorate on the house for half the night. Now, I'm wanting to take mid-day naps! :) Your grandbabies are so cute ~ I remember when little Clara was born; she was the sweetest little angel! I know you are so proud of them...!
Hugs, Bebe :)

Wow! And I thought I was the only 50-something woman who can't seem to get anything done! I'm sorry we all seem to have the same struggle, but it's good to know I'm not alone. :)

The elf shoes are adorable!! And the slowing down is good sometimes--you have more time to create and more time with the grandkids who are adorable!! Hugs...Jeannie

Looks like a lot of us can sympathize with your slowing down. I can relate all to well...used to do my whole house spring and fall cleaning in a matter of days..now, if I get it done at all, it's weeks. Bad knees, bad back and old age have definitely slowed me down. On another note, your little elf shoes are just beyond precious.

such darling little shoes!! And to have raised 5 wonderful sons probably has earned you a little rest! But i know what you mean. I used to get so much more done!

Some days 52 feels like 32 .. other days it feels like 92! I have to say I do feel perkier since I started taking folic acid - it's the thing in maternity vitamins that made us feel so wonderful. Pretty is on the outside - beauty shines from within. You are blessed with both. What a wonderful family you have raised. I'm impressed you have time to blog and create such pretty things. No wonder you're tired!
I always enjoy visiting your blog. Have a blessed week.
