Looking forward to fall...

The following post was from a few years ago,
but I just have to share it again!

My parents live in the North Georgia mountains and
have the most spectacular fall colors in their area!!!!
I've been dreaming of it lately as we are definitely in our
"Indian Summer" days here in Georgia!!!

Here is my former post:

It truly was...absolutely, breathtakingly beautiful ~
My parents live in the north Georgia mountains
and it was so good to see them!!
We left Friday afternoon around 3:00 pm
hoping to get ahead of the awful Friday afternoon traffic.
No such luck.
What should have been a 3 hour trip
turned into a 5 hours!
But it was fine, because this is what we awoke to Saturday morn....

The view behind my parent's house standing on their deck ~

We headed out early Saturday morning
so we could squeeze in as much fun as we could!
These are some of the photos I took ~
I hope you don't feel like you're at the neighbor's house
looking at vacation slides!!

Do you think Heaven will look like what you love??
If so....Heaven will look like this to me ~

We went junkin' as there were tons of yard sales all
around the town of Hiawassee ~ They were
taking advantage of all the leaf-lookers that were visiting.

Beautiful, RIGHT?
We have to enjoy Fall waaaaay before it starts here in Georgia
because you will BLINK and it will be OVER!!!!

Wow, what beautiful and peaceful countryside. I thank you for sharing as down here in s.e. FL, we do not see changing seasons like that.

Have a lovely weekend ~ FlowerLady

Oh my gosh, so beautiful! Can I move in with them?????? The only view I have are my neighbors. =( To wake up to that everyday, I would never have an excuse to be in a bad mood.

Dawn...

While I don't miss the horrific winters of the northern plain's state that I grew up in, I have to say I DO miss the absolutely beautiful changing colors of fall. Many thanks for bringing that memory back to me!!!

Oh to be able to awaken to such majestic beauty... In north Florida we have green year round with the occasional yellow tree here and there in the Fall/Winter months. I love your beautiful pictures even if they are from a former years' Fall season. Thanks for sharing, so those of us that don't have the privilege of this view, from our windows, can bask in Earths natural beauty along with you. This post gave a beautiful start to my day.

Gorgeous photos! Fall is such a beautiful season, especially where there are mountains and that beautiful stream! I'd love to have that on a little piece of property in the woods! Or live on the beach, or lake LOL! Can you tell I love the look and sound of water? Enjoy your day! Hugs, Leena

I'm from Massachusetts originally, and I've always been partial to the area's fall foliage--but the north Georgia mountain region sure gives it a run for its money! xoxo
