Words of wisdom...

Sometimes you read words that speak volumes to you...
the following poem does that to me.

DUST IF YOU MUST

Dust if you must, but wouldn't it be better
To paint a picture or write a letter,
Bake a cake or plant a seed,
Ponder the difference between want and need?

Dust if you must, but there's not much time,
With rivers to swim and mountains to climb,
Music to hear and books to read,
Friends to cherish and life to lead.

Dust if you must, the world's out there,
With the sun in your eyes, and the wind in your hair,
A flutter of snow, a shower of rain.
This day will not come around again.

Dust if you must, but bear in mind,
Old age will come and it's not kind.
And when you go - and go you must -
You, yourself, will make more dust.

I saw this poem on Facebook this weekend and just KNEW
you would love it!!!!

Happy Monday sweet angels ~
hugs and love,
Dawn

it is truly beautiful, and so true! we all sometimes-forget to live and let live, demanding so many -not that much needeed or importent things on our scedule ,to be done!
Thankyou for this lovely reminder to us, that life is precious and we schould LIVE it every day!
Many loving greetings and thoughts-and a warm hug.

Wow! I love this poem. I always say that dusting is a waste of time because a day later more dust falls anyway. Unlike when you work in the garden, it only gets better. And when you create an art piece, it lasts forever. I thought about this yesterday as I spent all day doing housework! Thanks for sharing this Dawn. Sue

I did my housework yesterday and did my dusting, but . . . I have a little sign that says, "Dust . . . its what gives a home that warm and fuzzy feeling." It gets real warm and fuzzy feeling over here. :) Happy Monday!

Just beautiful Dawn and a reminder to all of us. Getting older I always felt I needed to do the housework, cooking etc before I could "play". I know different now. Nobody will write on your tomb "she kept a clean house."
