Making progress...

Creating a new pattern is never an easy thing...
especially when it involves MATH!! UGH.
Math was always, always my least favorite subject
but by golly it just keeps rearing it's ugly ol' head!!!!

I'm measuring widths..pockets...pocket depths...blah, blah, blah.
It's truly enough to just take the fun out of sewing I tell ya!!

And so, we will soon find if math has beaten me down or
if I can STILL make something pretty in spite of it all!!!!
Wish me luck precious friends ~

Happy Friday my sweets,
hugs and love,
Dawn

Yes, I hate math, too, Dawn! : ) It's looking good so far! Can't wait to see it finished and your thoughts on the project.

And there's the lesson to all the kids (me included way back then) who whine at math test time "But I'll never use this in real life!"

Yes. Yes, you will.

It's looking wonderful Dawn!

I have no doubt..whatever you put your hands too, always turns out lovely! I recently found an old shoe bag..made out of feedsack material at an estate sale. The woman who had made it died just before her 102 birthday. I brought it home...put it through the wash and hung it on my bedroom wall, and filled it with this and that! :) Its not a thing of beauty as yours, but it makes me happy to see it and think of the hands that made it so very long ago....blessings dear friend.

Sweet dear Dawn,
It looks wonderful, already.
But you get my totally understanding about this project of messuring, I hated math. too- and was never good at it- and still isen`t the one making perfect stitching and messurements-(I know) but yes, now and then we just have to try finding those old learnings from our brains ,again....you did a beautiful job, sweetie.
Hugs and love and smiles, Dorthe

It's already looking great. And math.. oh my goodness...how I struggled. I've got a husband who can help me if I actually needed more than add/subtract etc!! Ha.
I know this is going to be stunning.

Dear Dawn, That is such a gift, to be able to see something and know how to recreate it. If I know you, it will be more beautiful and unique than your example. Why do so many creative types have math dread? I would choose your gifts over math skills any day! Have a wonderful weekend dear friend. Love, Penny

You are doing a great job, Dawn! I love the fabric you chose for your project. I just picked up one of those shoe organizers at an estate sale recently, and I love it. It was made by Lillian Vernon.

Goodness Dawn, from the looks of things you have it down! In spite of your aversion to math, you have a great head on your shoulders, and lots of experience. I can't wait to see the finished project!

I know we will soon be seeing the finished treasure.... Math, I always hated it, I was a C - D student when it came to that nasty subject... Now, my friends ask me what the tip should be on Movie & Dinner Night Friday's ~ wish it was that simple 40 years ago.
did I just admit I have been out of school for 40 years ~
OMG!
Have a great week,
xox
