Such wonderfulness...and just around the corner too!

I have to share something so good with you!
First, we live in a small country town in Georgia.
We've lived here now for over eighteen years and have just loved it.
The small downtown area has always been simple strip of shops.

Beautiful old buildings that have been around for so long
but the shops would open and then, eventually close.
Well, our little downtown has definitely taken a wonderful turn
and is now such a beautiful place to stop by and visit!!!

My sweet cousin Beth called me last week and said she wanted
to come pick me up and take me out to lunch to
the restaurant that is the hub of activity
in our little downtown Locust Grove,

It's been open for about a year or so now and I've never been!!
I've been meaning to go but it just hadn't happened...
So we went and I knew I had to take my camera.
I've seen their Facebook page and knew I would love the place.

French Market & Tavern is a wonderful restaurant and shop as well!!
The food was so delicious and afterwards Beth and I
browsed the shop, absolutely loving it all!

I took tons of photos to share with you, I hope you don't mind
but I'm just so proud that this gorgeous place
is in my little town!!!

I purchased a few lovely things...

This sweet metal frame/stand that looks old as ever ~
I know it's not but I can't help it, I still love the look!
(I've got to decide what I want to place inside!)

Plus a neat chicken wire top for a mason jar
that serves as a flower frog for flowers!!

Also, I've been working on a few more lavender sachets for friends
and managed to squeak this one out to list!!!
It's now in my Etsy shop...all by it's lonesome!

Wishing you a beautiful Wednesday my sweet friends!!!
hugs and love,
Dawn

What a wonderful place to eat and shop as well! Love the very high ceilings and the mason jars as lamp "shades"! So much to buy there too!
I loved those reels of string with the scissors sitting in the middle - amongst all the beautiful glassware, cages, cloches etc. etc.
That is such a yummy metal stand you purchased!
One of your dear friends will be delighted to receive that gorgeous vintage lavender sachet Dawn!~

I must tell how much I love the finished curtains handing in our elegant lounge room - they really lighten up the atmosphere in there adding even more beauty to all of your touches we see around the room!
Sending hugs this evening all the way across the world!

Oooooh! What a wonderful place. Talk about eye candy! I'd love to buy up just about everything. What a temptation it must be! Love your sachets by the way, and I'm so pleased you finished your curtains. I hate jobs like that too. Anyway, Blessings from the UK

Dawn,
How cool~! That place reminds me a little bit of Patina Green. Those Tyler candles are my absolute favorite! OMG, I spend a fortune on them. Love your goodies too.

Oh. My. Goodness... I doubt I could eat FIRST. I would have to shop, then eat (if I had any money left, that is) ;)

What a great idea to meld the two into one place! It looks wonderful - you are so lucky to have it nearby!

So much eye candy! Thank you for sharing--I especially loved the photo of the shelf that had the blue mason jars and the salt shakers on it--oh, I wish someone here, where I live, sold those! So glad you had a nice time and took pictures!

Dawn, that restaurant looks fabulous. I'm drooling and not just over the baked goods. When I go South, I'll have to look it up.
Have a lovely spring week!
