Don't you love finishing things?!

I finished my new mixed media collage!
I love working with these elements...but I guess you know that ~
Antique lace, beautiful old images, vintage sheet music and of course,
the old luggage pocket! These are my favs and I can't help
but enjoy creating something with these beautiful things.

Here are a few photos of my finished project to share with you:

And while I was working on my collage,
I got a wild hair and decided to finish the little peat pot too!!
It's a tiny one...
covered in old lace, then even more lace,
embellished with a teeny ruffle
around the opening and cream tulle stuffed inside.
Hung of course with beautiful seam binding to adorn
a Christmas tree and hold a few precious candies!!

It always feels so good to make a few new things ~
and what feels even better?
They both sold to a precious repeat customer of mine
the minute I listed them in my Etsy shop!!!

Wishing you a beautiful fall Thursday dear friends,
hugs and love,
Dawn

Oh Dawn
What a lucky lucky person who bought both of your beautiful pieces - she will be grinning from ear to ear - I know I would be!!

Your collages are exquisite, made with beautiful elements and not too over the top - I love simplicity!
And that luggage pocket is to die for, I just adore it - I've never seen one here.

Happy days
hugs
Shane ♥

Good morning Dawn I just wanted you to know how much your blog brightens up my day. Although I visit every morning I very rarely leave a comment and must apologise for that. Your work is truly beautiful and a joy to behold. Although we are so far apart, I feel as though I know you through your creativity. So thank you. Blessings Lesley

Oh, that turned out absolutely lovely! I'm intrigued by the lacy, white leaf tucked in the luggage pocket. Was this just a lucky find or do you purchase them somewhere?
I can't believe you've sold them already!! That repeat customer must've put in an early request ;)

Dawn, you ended up with a beautiful finished piece. All the little details are terrific - I loved "discovering" the skeleton leave in the closeup. And the little peat pot is precious. I'm sure your buyer is thrilled to get these!
