Looking back...

With precious Murray's birth,
I find myself looking back to my own family growing.
Wondering as a very young mother,
how in the world could I ever love another child
like I love my precious first baby???

I found a few photos to share with you ~
this one is when we arrived home from the hospital with David.
Brent wasn't even two years old!
By the look on his face, he was kinda dazed and confused!!!
This was November of 1984.

I was almost 23 years old....
yes, I married when I was 19 and had Brent when I was almost 20!
Our little family was growing and I absolutely loved it!!!

But truthfully, when our second son was born,
I was so amazed at how my love grew.
I loved BOTH of my precious children so much...
maybe differently but
it seemed that the Lord gave me the capacity
to love them both so very much ~

And these photos are only sharing our first two sons....
if you know anything about me,
we have FIVE boys!!!!
(oh and guess what...Brent on the right will be 30 yrs old this year
and David on the left will be 28!!!!)

Families are beautiful.
Love is wonderful.
And when you love your family,
you are truly, truly blessed!!!

Wishing you a beautiful Monday sweet friends,
hugs and love,
Dawn

Oh this is such a sweet post Dawn.

I was filled with joy when my 3rd darling granddaughter was born in January - just like you are now!!!
It's a wonderful state to be in - there's just nothing like a new baby to stir our mothering instincts again - so precious.

My eldest son is now 38 and I can still recall my exhilaration the day he was born!!

hugs and love

Wonderful family photos! Those boys are such cutie pies, as are their parents. Hoping that all is going very smoothly at Brent's place today. ☺

Your sweet post brought back so many memories for me. I also thought that I could not love my 2nd child as much as my first. It seems so silly now. Enjoy your grand baby

Hey beautiful girl! You are such a blessed mom and these photos made my heart melt this morning. Wow...can you believe we had so many kids and our hearts just grew bigger with everyone of them? The Lord is really so wonderful to bless us with this capacity to love.
What a precious post to start my day with Dawn!
sending love...

I remember being very pregnant with our second child and crying to a friend about how I could never love the new baby as much as I loved our daughter, and how that wasn't fair to the new baby. Ha! Was I ever wrong!

But I went through the same thing when our daughter (who was born on November 2, 1984!) was pregnant with her second child. Ha, again!

Thank you for sharing the old pics of your young, growing family... just beautiful.

That is by far the sweetest photo of you and your young boys. You haven't changed a bit, I mean it!! You still have that sparkle in your eyes.

Family love is like no other.
