Lagging behind...just a bit ~

I am.
Lagging that is.
Lagging behind with my little creative muse.
Lagging behind with most everything around here.
You're lucky to have clean clothes.
I mean it.

It seems the minute school's out,
I want to RELAX.....
Sleep in...stay up late watching goofy TV...
and even at 50 yrs. old
I still want to
WELCOME
Summer!!!!

I've not been very busy this week
but hope to get going soon!!!
I just keep walking through the studio
staring at all the goodness,
but that's it.

Soon.
Real soon.
I'll get back to it.
It's in me and I can't help it.

Have a wonderful Thursday dear friends,
hugs and love,
Dawn

It will come to you, Dawn. I've been trying to get into my room, but while I was visiting in NY, hubby painted the laundry room which is right next to my room. So guess where all that stuff that came off the walls wound up? I have to do the sideways dance to go in there and get something for a project. : )

It happens, but go with it. There is something that your creative mind is seeking. It will come.

Don't kick against it. I'm thinking you'll be a whole lot happier if you allow yourself the down time to welcome summer.

Sometimes we need rest to rejuvenate our creative spirit. I just turned 50, and I too can't wait for the lazy days of Summer!

The lagging bug has bitten me many times :) Sometimes I think our minds and bodies just need a sabbatical, and so they take it unawares :)I am in a bit of one myself at this time. Rest dear friend ! Your energy is being conserved for something you know not of..... God Bless

Dawn,

I feel the same way. It seems when summer hits I want to play. Enjoy this time with Noah, stay up late, sleep in, your muse will return.

Do you want to watch cartoons and eat Cap'n Crunch? When school starts in the fall...do you want new school clothes too? If yes...you must be a Boomer! We will never grow up! Enjoy the first few days of Summer Vacay! =D It will fuel your creative fire.

Oh dear Dawn, you should relax, sleep late,(now you can) and just love your summertime, sweeti- and suddenly your hands will reach after a lovely button-old piece of paper, laces, threads ,seambindings, and so much more, and you will create a new wonderful art piece,-precious friend.

oh I'm so glad you wrote about this. I wanted to ask you specifically if you ever have your muse disappear without notice? I too have been for weeks just looking at all my goodies and not feeling anything, zip. I got worried. But today I felt the stirrings of something fun returning. Thank God! blessings, Lady

HA! So it does happen to the all famous, most awesome, sweetest Queen of creativity! Well now I can take a sigh of relief! Somedays I would come to your blog and think, oh I want just a small percentage of her brain, the right side.....or is it the left side??? Anyway, my dear, watch a movie, kick your feet up and have a big glass of sweet tea, you deserve it! Love ya lots! xoxoxo-cindy

I definitely think you've earned it my sweet friend. You are the most creative person I know, so I would say your brain needs a break sometimes.
Beautiful images as always Dawn.

Oh Dawn... your post made me smile.....I can so relate. Although, mine's not about summer exactly. It seems my problem is seasonless. I cannot figure out how so many of the blogging chickies can get so much done. Seriously. How do they do it all? Tons of projects, volunteer work, full time jobs, a spotless house and a whole big 'ol smeckle of kidlets. I. am. baffled. :-)

Big huggies to you dear girl..... Can't wait to see what you produce next. Your things are always delish.

xoxo
Spencer
