For the love of trees ~

This past weekend I didn't get a bit done!
We relaxed, built several fires in our fireplace here at the farmhouse....
the hubs made the most wonderful homemade corn chowder and club sandwiches....
we also had precious guests ~
Clara and her mama and we enjoyed their company while
Brent was out tending to errands.

It's been so very cold here in Georgia and the wind has been horrible!
When I lay my head down at night I always am so thankful for a warm place to live....
a precious family that I love and friends that I adore ~

Simple thoughts for your Monday, I know....

I do have a gorgeous moon photo I took one night through the bare pecan trees:

These below are simply a few tree photos I had on file......
they truly are majestic, don't you think?

Wishing you a wonderful Monday precious friends ~

hugs and love,
Dawn

Love trees. Each morning when I do my devotions, i see the big maple tree in our back yard. i am amazed at the details on the trunk and limbs, and the love the beautiful silhouette as the sun rises behind it.

And then I think how the creator of the universe, the everlasting God, chose me to be His child, and His spirit dwells in me.

Wonder of wonders!

Simple thoughts for a Monday are good, Dawn! Start the week off nice and with no stress. : ) It sounds like you had a lovely weekend. We had our gas fireplace going quite a bit ~ it was pretty cold here.

Beautiful trees, love the one with the moon shining thru! We had a couple fires in our fireplace this weekend too, warm and toasty here in our home!

Have a blessed week my friend, HUGS!

Probably the best thing about winter are the bare trees. Leafless, they show their character and you can pick out the variety of tree in their shapes.
I love to sit in my living room and make 'pictures' from the skeleton of the tree, in my minds' eye. Very relaxing!
Adore the Moon through the trees photo, it has a magical quality to it.

Have a great week,

Sandie xx

Dawn, I LOVE trees! I've always said 'trees are nature's version of lace.'
When I was a small child, I thought trees were just one big blob of green, as I was very, very myopic. On receiving my first pair of glasses, I was shocked to see all those separate and very individual leaves. Thus began a lifetime love of trees! Thank you, once again, for showing us such beauty!! pat

The wind has howled fiercely here the past three nights. It makes me burrow deeper into the covers and thank God for a warm house even if my nose is a little cold. Beautiful collection of trees on your property and in your studio. A relaxed weekend sounds perfect!
