It just doesn't take much....

to make this girl happy!

I mean it.
A few trinkets...a few busted jewelry pieces....
a jacked up jewelry box...
and the thing that REALLY makes me smile???
Getting these goodies on the cheap!
I will not pay big for my art supplies ~
they have to be reasonable or I will simply pass them by.

I had to show you my tiny little haul I recently found.
Tiny, yes...but wonderful too!
I found a small, cream velvet jewelry box ~ and I'm in LOVE with it!
Just look....

See the sweet inside?
I've got to transform this wonderful box ~
but right now, I'm lovin' it just the way it is.

A little gathering of Mother of Pearl buckles ~ I'm always looking for these!

And a small, pale pink coin purse!
You can't even tell by my photos the pale pinkness of it :)

Another wonderful find?
Lisa turned me onto these ~
in the bakery dept of our grocery store,
you know where you get your own muffins?
I found these gorgeous, slightly waxed natural sheets of paper....
I just had to grab a few -
(Be sure you buy some muffins too!!!)
I still don't have a clue what I'll do with them but who cares?
I love them!

I love the small things.
Small, wonderful, cast-off treasures.
It doesn't take much to make me happy at all!!!!

Have a beautiful Friday precious friends ~
hugs and love,
Dawn

Oh I do too Dawn! Sometimes I think How can I get excited over all these small things. Especially the old ones. I had to give them up sometimes. Can't wait to see your creation!

Just like me it doesn't take much to make me happy. My husband flips when I pick up a rusty trinket off the ground and put it in my pocket like I found a hundred dollar bill! I call those "buried treasures" and it's the little things that get overlooked sooo much in shops. Some people just have no imagination! Your little wax sheets make marvelous envelopes because you can see through them....

all so very fun.

Those papers you like from the bakery department... I think you can get them by the box. They are sandwich wrap paper. (for when you figure out some wonderful project where you need lots....)

Isn't it funny what can turn our heads and make our hearts sing? I love everything you shared and would have chosen much the same. I think it would be fun to gather a few special odd bits and (odd) firends together and see what each would make of these special tokens! hmmmm....?

What lovely finds. Your jewellery box is so pretty and what potential there is too. I'm sure as sure can be it will be totally transformed once you have given it your own very special magic touch. The purse is cute too and I'm sure those papers will look wonderful after some of your fun paper ageing techniques and or your gorgious stamping ideas. Thanks for sharing your pretty goodies
Warmest best wishes,

I think the "smalls" are one of the biggest joys in my life. I used to have a jewelry box like that in a blue color. My own had an insert in it but the clasp was identical. hmmmm...now I wonder whatever happened to that.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend- xo Diana

Great post! It is a pleasure to enjoy our little finds and treasures for a while before transforming them. Sometimes I end up keeping an item just the way it is. It's also a joy when you get an inspiration and realize you have just the right thing tucked away!

Lovely box!! A friend of mine gave me a glove box with velvet inside since I collect gloves. Did you see the quilt on pinterest with the belt buckles? All cream and lovely. I love coin purses too.
I started collecting vintage powder boxes, they are so wonderful to store things in.
