A little magic in a bottle ~

I've had this wonderful, old bottle for awhile now
(just like most of my stash, you know I love to keep stuff around me for a tiny bit!)
and finally decided to do something with it.
I found a neat old cabinet knob that would work perfectly for the top too ~

First, it was filled with neat old buttons, vintage pearls, lace and goodies.
Then I placed one simple word inside too ~

The word?
"Cherish"

This is the back ~
Plus for the first time, I soldered the knob on!
I've made soldered charms before so I used the same method
and layered the solder on and aged it.

I know everyone's made these, but it was really neat to be able to
attach the knob to the glass!

And you know I had to work in a watch face!

This bottle looks huge in these photos but it's a mere 4 1/2" tall!
I've just added the new little treasure to my Etsy store ~

I've been enthralled with angel wings lately...
aren't these gorgeous???
They can be found HERE!!!

Miss Minnie Louise is slowly but surely coming around.
The sweet girl has had a huge transition and it's just going to take a little time.
I've been treating her like a queen!

Sometimes when she gets a little playful,
she'll stop and remember she's supposed to be mad!
She sure loves her new mouse toy :)

Wishing you a wonderful Monday precious friends!
hugs and love,
Dawn

Your bottle is charming! When you soldered the knob on, did you just put the soldering between the knob and the cap like glue, or all around the edges of it? Didn't quite get that and have never tried it...but have a few ideas! (I'm a knob buyer myself...eek)

Miss Minnie is too sweet. Is she the little cat who was going to fly to meet you? She didn't use those angel wings, did she? Those are wonderful and I love your dear little bottle with the word "cherish," which I am going to look at very carefully to see how to properly apply smudged ink.

I am always so grateful when I start my day with your posts. The kind and sisterly spirit I feel from you makes me want to be a better person. Those angel wings should be your symbol. Maybe I sound sappy, but these days we should seek out those things are are virtuous, lovely, and praiseworthy...to paraphrase scripture. Thank you.

Ah! So THAT'S what I should do with all my nifty little bottles. Trouble is - I don't know how to solder! Great job! Pin It! A lovely decorator accessory! Thanks for the inspiration!

Miss Louise - why is mew so mad? Are you still mad about the new house? If so, you musn't be mad at all - it's a new adventure and a fun new playground! Or is it something else???? What have I missed???

Miss Dawn - "she" loves your bottle! Cute idea to add the word inside and especially to solder the knob to the glass :)

Have a grand week!

Miss Minnie reminds me of being a foster parent. They were always angry for a little while until they figured out they could really trust you. She's just like any other new foster/adopt baby. Nobody can tell me that cats don't act just like humans! Lol!

Get some really good cat treats, and she'll start coming around.
