For the love of friends...

This week has just been one of those weeks.
The kind of week you're ready for it to be over....
But when I receive so much goodness from my dear friends,
how can I complain at all???
I am blessed. We all are so truly blessed....

I just have to share a few gifts
I received this week from a couple of sweet friends:

Jan of Little Pink Houses had a few goodies that she knew I'd love to create with!!
Just look at these beautiful treasures ~
Thank you so very much sweet Jan, I love it all SO MUCH!!!!

And this is not just a baby book but a LIFE book!!
It's from the 40's and I absolutely love the font, graphics, everything....

Then....
Another dear friend Barbara mailed me a package packed full of treasures too!!!!

So many wonderful things from baby dresses to shoes to paper to old cards:

Fragments of forgotten jewelry....

Plus these wonderful clock hands!

Thank you so much dear Barbara ~ I absolutely love every single thing!!!!!

And lastly, I found a few more blown quail eggs on ebay and they arrived too!
Don't you love an amazing mail day?
Now....to get my rear end back to making stuff!

Wishing you a great Thursday sweet friends,
hugs and love,
Dawn

And here I thought you went 'hunting' in the forest, climbing trees and grabbing eggs from nests.....when all the time you were shopping on Etsy! (LOL).
Wonderful mail day!!! We in Canada have a mail strike, and I have packages piled up at Customs...when the mail strike is over, it will feel like Christmas here with all of my overdue packages of goodies and my art magazines!!! But what wonderful friends to send such great vintage goodies!!! You're a lucky girl Dawn!
Cheers!

What great treasures. I would love some hints on what to do with items like the baby clothes and cards. I am going thru my mom and sister in law's estates and have some great finds. I love your blog. I have 2 sweet little grandchildren that have spent the last week with me and loved it!! Just setting up a blog, have a site name thats it, you are an inspiration. Diane @ jl-tol@earthlink.net

Dawn,
Wow! You didn't tell me about these precious treasures. Love them! I think anyone who knows you, knows what you love. Your pretty easy to shop for, LOL. And if someones broke...well they can pull a dried up mushroom out of the ground & you'll love it as much as fine piece of antique lace.

What special gifts you've received; so thoughtful in every way! I'll be watching to see what becomes of it all...

What wonderful goodies! I collect baby things too, although I haven't made anything with them. I just hang them. Wherever do you get your bird's nests, they look so real. My younger brother used to bring me abandoned bird nests. He passed away. Every time I see a nest I think of him. :)

Hey Dawn- I think I saw my missing earring! JK You know yours is the only blog I look at everyday. Thanks for the dedication and sharing.

Glad you like them! Please let me know what happens in the "next life" of these pretties. I was just noticing the baby shoes--how in the world did they get so dirty?!?!? No babies small enough to wear them that I have loved ever had the chance to use their feet!

Hey girlfriend. I'm so happy you came to see me today! I hope you are doing GREAT! I haven't checked in on your weight loss for quite a little bit now...how's it going? Somehow (since December) I've managed to drop 40 pounds and I truly feel BETTAH THAN EVAH! Hope you can say the same! Losing those pounds was one of the hardest things I've ever done...but keeping it OFF is going to be harder! :( I'm committed tho!

Now...about your finds...

Well now...you've hit the mother-load. LOVE IT ALL! I always LOVE my visits to you my talented friend. Ever joyful and so inspiring. I love what you do...and love your passionate heart!
