Knowing where stuff is = PRICELESS!

I'm so excited!!!
I've been cleaning my studio like a mad woman!
Believe it or not, the new studio has been choking me ~
you know it's about a fourth of the size of the giant
two car garage I had before....so, believe it or not,
I've been editing!

I've been going through fabric, patterns and tons of other things
figuring out what goes and what stays.
Some stuff is going to be donated because seriously
when you're a creative girl like me....
you have stuff even from the nineties!!!
Hunter green tassels and trim....and peach ribbon with little loopies on it.
You gotta ask yourself "will I use this again?"

I don't have any pics yet to share with you
but I'd love to share a few past goodies with you ~

Yes, I know I've shown you this pic more than twice....
but I can't help it, I love these drying roses I put in a gorgeous old bowl ~

Have a wonderful Wednesday sweet friends....you SO inspire me!!!

hugs and love,
Dawn

Actually I DO have a muslin stuffed rabbit in a floral dress I probably bought 20 years ago, handmade by someone locally..and I still love it. It's in a guest bedroom, used mostly by my
(now 7 yr old girly girl granddaughter. I make NO apologies!! Ha. Be careful what's considered old/passe....you know what goes around comes around..again...and again!!! Marjorie

Wow, little clara is getting so tall!
Purging the studio is always a good thing as Martha would say...
always feel like I'm on top of thigs when it's finished...and a refresher as to where everything is!
Lovin the enlarged photos,

Can you come to my house and help cull? You seem to be getting much further than I. It is so satisfying though to clean out and have a fresh look at what's left. Sooo inspiring!

I was going to say what Marjorie said ~ you'll get rid of the peach and green and in five years it'll be back, Dawn! Love the clock faces.

My little sewing room is so packed with things that I need to do the same things that you're doing. It's impossible to work in there otherwise.
All the best with your sorting and donating. Someone out there will love and appreciate it!

Sweet images...I love the children having tea and the little lovebirds at the end always make me grin.

Too. Much. Stuff. I've been cleaning out my sewing room, as well. I've not been as brutal as I should be, I suppose, but if I will just stop collecting for a while and find homes for some of this that I own, then at least it should get better over time. It feels great to see wide open spaces here and there.

I have boxes of things I have kept since the stone age. I have this little voice that says, "you will need this someday."
I am also a savor of roses in pretty glass containers.
We are 75% today, it feels really nice. We have had a cold wet spring. I here we have more cold on the way. So I am going to get out and enjoy the blue sky while I can. Love you Dear Dawn, Mary

Your photos always 'tell' a story. I love coming here and daydreaming over your images and your creativity. So many of us are sister souls.
I just donated a bunch of 'burgandy' and 'hunter green checked ribbon'. I hated to but like you said 'when will I use that again?'. You will enjoy your newfound space!
