Hello. My name is Dawn and yes, I am a hoarder!!!
(just of cool stuff though)

Last week I headed to our little antique space to put a few goodies in ~
I'm making another pile of stuff to take on my next trip too!
It has taken me forever to get this house looking the way I want it to.

Well, I always do a little treasure hunting while I'm out and
found a few things I've got to share with you!

I scanned these first three images from a small book
I found that features plants of the Bible ~
They are beautiful botanical prints,
be sure to click twice to make them large before saving :)

I've had this postcard for a while and finally scanned it for you too!

Here are my small but wonderful treasures!
Look at the graphics on this small stamp box!!!! YIKES!!!
I'm such a sucker for graphics and antique typefaces ~
A few of the stamp parts had fallen off their wooden bases
so I've got to glue those back on.
Were all of the letters there?
Only the "P" is missing!
Who cares...

I love the pointing hand!!!

And just look at this old pincushion! Topped with millinery....I fell in love instantly.
I have a thing for pincushions anyway ~

And this little box.
I thought it was charming and it was so inexpensive...I had to buy it!
After I studied it for awhile, I realized it's an old collar box!!!!!
If you squint your eyes and tilt your head just so
you can read on the front "Ward's Collars No 3"
Now I REALLY love it!
I know, I'm a hoarding freak but it's tiny finds like these that make me smile ~

It's time to make something...
Too many days have passed by ~

Have a great Tuesday my dear friends!!
hugs and love,
Dawn

oooohh, great stuff!! Love those botanicals of the Bible flowers. Don't worry about hoarding, all great artistic types are hoarders...at least that's what I tell myself!!! xoxo Debra

Very neat things. They all serve a purpose, so go ahead and hoard away! That pincushion is too cute.

Yes, and so am I. Trouble is, I have no scope for the imagination and no business hoarding. Still, I like to pretend. Hope that you get the chance to create tomorrow!

My name is Becky and I am a Hoarder. Geesh it's crazy. I have the neatest store in the world right inside of my garage. Salvage for projects in need of completing so I keep holding on. Even decorating the garage but that's another story.

It's not hoarding, we are just being preparred so we don't have to run out to the store when inspiration strikes! Uh huh. That's my story and I'm sticking with it. Right at this moment I am sitting here making a pincushion and I haven't needed to buy a single thing so far. Dang! I wish I had a blue corsage pin. How could I not have one of those... LOL!

Oh My how I love your "new" old treasures. These are such wonderful finds I can see why they must come home with you. I don't know where you shop but I love what you find. I just tell Mr. C that there are much worse vices than being a hoarder. Happy collecting...

love the box too.one of my weaknesses.. I've often pondered where the dividing line is between collector and hoarder....

Before I comment on this post I have to tell you how much I loved the post you did about your beautiful mom. And then the amazing post of your handsome sons. You are such a blessed mother. Aren't our children our joy in life Dawn? Your family is so dear. I know that your little Clara even made your Mother's Day better than ever.
Now, those stamps are absolutely the best find! The box too! What a great find.
If your family ever decides to do an intervention on your little hoarding problem have them call me to help with the cure. LOL!
big hugs to you...

I admitted that a long time ago. I have so much cool stuff, I am drowning in it:) I have cool stuff in every corner. I am currently in the middle of rearranging all of my cool stuff so it fits better. It is hard work but guess what? I rediscovered a lot of cool stuff while moving it all around and yes a lot of it made me smile too. Hope you had a great Mother's Day.

Hi Dawn, great finds! You are NOT a hoarder: you are a hunter/gatherer. Sounds better, anyway LOL!
PS: Recent message from fortune cookie: You cannot have it all - where would you put it?

No, no, you're not a hoarder. You're a collector!!
Hoarders don't discriminate. Collectors only collect what they love and oh, I love your recent finds.

Dawn, you do hoard the best stuff, and unlike me, you actually keep making stuff. I have so much stuff in my studio now that I don't have room to make stuff. I hate that. Trying to remedy it and get my blogging back up to snuff!
Have a great creative week!
Hugs,
Sherry
