I've got a little hankering ~

Main Entry: han·ker
Pronunciation: \ˈhaŋ-kər\
Function: intransitive verb
Inflected Form(s): han·kered; han·ker·ing

: to have a strong or persistent desire

I love to look up the definitions of certain words and share them with you!
I have a strong and persistent desire to SEW!!!
I know I've posted these photos of some of my fabric collections before
but wanted to show them here again ~ and after seeing them....
I want to MAKE something ~

My parents are in town for their party this coming Saturday.
We're shopping for food tomorrow and preparing yummy dips and
other goodies for the guests.
So for now, I'll be making food stuffs and pulling
together the last minute details for their anniversary party.

Maybe next week I will make a few lavender sachets like this:

I haven't made one of these organizers in a while ~
I've always loved this one...yummy damask fabric,
don't you love how it's stuffed full!!

I only made one of these drop cloth handbags ~ it sold and I moved on...
but I'd love to make another.

I've posted the beautiful images below for you before but thought I'd
post them again ~ they are such gorgeous French ephemera for you to print
and use in your artwork. Click a couple of times to enlarge and save to your own computer!

Happy Thursday precious friends ~
hugs and love,
Dawn

Hi Dawn,
Isn't it amazing how much fabric we can accumulate?? hee hee Love it all ! I need to start creating more too.
Remember that little salt shaker tutorial that I purchased from you? I sold a couple in my booth several months ago and have some requests lately from people who saw them way back then to get some more made and up there for sale!! So that is what I have been working on yesterday and today. Fun times!!
How is that sweet little Clara doing?? She is such a doll! I know you are enjoying her so much.
I also know how much work a 50th anniversary party can be as I put one together for my parents a few years ago and did most of it myself. Didn't mind at all though. Congratulations to your parents for sticking together through all those years!!!
Hugs~

Beautiful, beautiful post, as always.
LOVE the handbag. I do that too sometimes, do one, then do not do another. I even write down every step as I figure it out, so I can share with others, or do it again, but rarely do. I am working on another Victorian purse now though. the 2nd one!
Love the French papers too. thank you

blessings on your day

Dawn,
I adore your fabrics and images you have shared. I wish I had a big cabinet and room for storage as you have. When I go touch and see I also get the same feelings to create with fabrics. Mine are in plastic bins in my garage and that is a major wish to get them inside.

Thanks for sharing! Smiles, Cyndi
