Tiny and wonderful ~

I can't help it.
I love little things!
Small is so very sweet.....
It's funny what inspires us.

Plus I seem to enamored with doll clothes.
Especially doll dresses.
Not all doll dresses though.
I love white, cream or pale, pale colors.
Stained is fine....a few tiny holes are wonderful too!
But that's a whole other post....

All Things Bright and Beautiful

~ Cecil Frances Alexander ~

All things bright and beautiful,
All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful,
The Lord God made them all.

Each little flower that opens,
Each little bird that sings,
He made their glowing colors,
He made their tiny wings.

The purple-headed mountain,
The river running by,
The sunset, and the morning,
That brightens up the sky;

The cold wind in the winter,
The pleasant summer sun,
The ripe fruits in the garden,
He made them every one.

He gave us eyes to see them,
And lips that we might tell,
How great is God Almighty,
Who has made all things well.

I was poking around on Ebay the other night
and found THESE little treasures!!
What are they?
Teeny tiny doll shoes ~ not pairs, just single shoes who've lost their mates.
All of these for a mere 99 cents!

And what will I do with them?
Oh, I don't know....
I can see teeny, tiny shoe pincushions ~
or even fairy shoes in the making....
can you?

See that little boot below?? Eeeek! It's the softest leather ~

Sweet little slippers ~

It seems my very favorites were so small and tattered ~

Look at the shape of this one!

To give you an idea of the size of this adorable boot ~
that's a regular sized glue stick!

Even though this was the largest shoe in the bunch
it's absolutely wonderful!!!!

So, what do you think?
That's a whole lot of wonderfulness for 99 cents, isn't it?
Yes, I did pay a couple of dollars for shipping too.....but still!
I guess no one else was interested in a bunch of single, old doll shoes ~
Thank goodness!!!!

Wishing you a wonderful Thursday dear friends ~
hugs and love,
Dawn

Wow! Such a cool find...I wonder where all of the dolls are that are wearing one shoe?!
Im thinking you could make a really cool advent calendar for christmas with all of the shoes. Put little tiny wrapped gifts inside each shoe. How adorable would that be?

Great find and even if they just sat on a little shelf and never became anything more than what they are it would be perfect! I have a couple of pair myself from vintage dolls and I just adore them. I have a few hundred of these from Mothers doll hospital,,dolls would come in with only one shoe, she would make new ones, in addition to the costume, and get to keep the old things the dolls had. That is how I got them...hey! maybe I have some mates!
