Dawn, I love the things you love. I love how you can see the beauty in the ordinary. The things that make it extra ordinary. I always love to see the darling little smile that Clara always has for us to enjoy.

I am in awe of your beautiful guest room. Everythng is so serene and calming. Is this the room I'll be staying in when I come to live?lol

Simply lovely post Dawn - your favorite things definitely resonate with me as well. The images you find and share are always gorgeous...and what a sweet, adorable photo of Miss Clara! And buttons...how can something so "ordinary" be so extraordinary?! I appreciate your friendship and creativity and the generosity you exhibit in sharing both! Thank you!

Hugs & Blessings,
Becky

PS - it was such a kick to look through the latest Art Quilting Studio magazine with my Mom the other day and see your work there. We were both so very inspired and impressed!! - Hugs, B

That's so crazy that you posted about these things today--I LOVE Waterhouse art, and have a whole calendar with his gorgeous paintings featured--and I have several framed Bourgereau prints in my house--he is my absolute favorite artist, and I've been a fan of his for many years. AND, I just visited my favorite little antique shop in Old Elk Grove this afternoon and bought some buttons and lace! I am just crazy for old buttons--This sweet 75 year-old lady owns the shop and she sells vintage pearl buttons that she's placed inside of antique salt shakers, and then she sticks a few old pearl-topped hairpins on top through the shaker holes. Very sweet . . . I'll have to post photos soon.
By the way, Clara is just as cute as ever!!!! They grow so very fast, though, don't they?

My that adorable baby is getting to be such a big girl!

And I loved your peat pot baby and that photo of all the girls lined up at the end of this post. I have one pretty much exactly like it, but it is of my husbands grandma. I love those old photos!

Dawn, I think Clara looks like you.

My sister has a granddaughter that looks just like her clone. It amazes me how that happens.
Clara is so pretty!
