Tags, treasures and finds ~

I've been working on a few goodies to take
to the Southern Belle Gathering this Saturday ~
If you're coming, I'm so looking forward to meeting you!!

The first thing I finished was my name tag....
It's created with some of the things I love....
buttons, lace, speckled eggs, feathers, seam binding and
of course a sweet nest!

Now maybe everyone will know it's me :)

I forgot to show you a couple more gifts
that my dear friend Merne of Canada gifted me ~
Isn't this the most precious little apron???
And the beautiful monogrammed hanky,
thank you so, so much Merne!!
Such precious gifts you've sent me ~ I love them all....

I wanted to show you the neatest thing that my son Brad found for me!
Don't you love this display rack?
Now what should I hang on it.....

I found this glue the other day at Hobby Lobby
but I think Walmart has it too...
If you love hot glue but hate getting burned all the time,
this is so close to hot glue it's scary!!!
I think it's exactly the same glue as Fabri-Tac just in
a different bottle, it smells exactly the same and performs the same too.
They are both made by Beacon's adhesives.
This bottle has a very fine tip though after snipping and I love that!

EDITED TO ADD:
How neat is this!!!

Hi 3 in 1 Lover!

Yup 3 in 1 is a great glue. It ‘s also waterproof and acid free!
But alas it’s not exactly the same as Fabri-Tac.
It’s a bit weaker as we don’t have as much resin in it.
Same solvent and resin system, just not the same amount of guts.
But it is a great glue!

Thanks,

Mike the Beacon Glue Guy

Well, Mike, I LOVE THEM BOTH!!!
Thanks so much for making great glue!!

A few wonderful things ~

I have to share with you the most wonderful illustrator,
her blog and her work!!
Annie Patterson creates the most magical artwork....

I'm in love with their simplicity and the softness of her work ~

Andrea of Vintage Bella Studio is having a beautiful giveaway HERE ~

There's so much beauty here in the land of blog ~
amazing creativity, sweet words and precious friends....
no wonderful we all love it so ~

I hope you have a wonderful Tuesday dear friends!
hugs and love,
Dawn

Hey there, remember me? LOL I'm blown away by your name tag!! It is so YOU! OMG, you nailed it Dawn. And you know what makes me sick, you probably went in & did it in 10 minutes & it's amazing. I need to make one for PC ARt Retreat. Maybe you can give me some pointers. We got home late last night. My car smells like a boys locker room. Call me if you can. Lisa

I adore your beautiful name tag! Gorgeous! And I couldn't get through one creative session without my 3-in-1 glue. It's the best glue I have ever used (and that is saying a lot), I would buy it by the gallon if I could. Seriously! I especially like the fact that you can glue ribbon down with it, without it showing through the ribbon like other glues. It's my go to glue! Hope you are having a great day.

I've been using this glue for about 3 years now (and FabricTac for about 10) and.... it's fantastic! Quick drying, no mess, excess peels right off without a problem. I would recommend people be wary of setting their project down (I'm talking paper or chipboard here) until the bond has dried completely, which depends on the amount used. It's been known to completely remove the finish on furniture because it 'leeched' through the dry paper layer onto the furniture. Just saying...

Hey Sweet Dawn I love your name tag!!! VERY FEATHERED NEST!!!! Funny you mentioned the Fabric Tack because I mentioned it today in my post (before I allowed myself to visit anyone I had to post since it had been so long) & I told about you sharing your wonderful prining on fabric & how you sent me Rebecca's tutorial too. I gave links to both of you. My project is done & I am HAPPY! Have fun this weekend. WISH I was going too. But, I am going back to take a class at The Church where I went back in February. Isn't blogland wonderful with all the friends & events? HUGS! And thank you again for your help. You are AMAZING! Charlene

Hi Dawn....Love your name tag as I always love all your creations. Wanted to ad though that I discovered the Beacon 3 in 1 glue quite awhile ago but NEVER used it for some things...we had a class in making a bookcover postcard and this glue was amazing gluing the paper...NO wrinkles at all just hand smooth and we just made a thin line around the outside and "squiggled" inside the paper and presto...it was perfect! I also have discovered Beacon 527 - and it adheres glass to glass like no other!!! I always used E6000 to put the little marbles on top of my tiny make-do cloches and they would roll and roll...NOT with the 527 glue! Love it too!!
Sorry I took up so much space but I get excited when new things WORK! Many hugs, Judy

Oh, Dawn, I absolutely LOVE your nametag. Of course, I knew it would be special. Mine does not compare, but it will be fun to see what everyone comes up with. One of the most exciting parts of the GA Bloggers get-together for me will be to meet YOU! I feel like I know you, but it will be nice to see you in person. I am so looking forward to this. My only wish is that I will receive YOUR gift in the exchange!!!!! See you on Saturday. QueenMarcy
