The sweetness of Spring ~

Don't you love it?? Wonderful mild temperatures (for now here in Georgia),
crisp, blue skies....and all the gorgeous new greenery
popping out everywhere ~
This past weekend I managed to plant a few new things....
a couple of ivy plants to flank the front door ~

And I planted a couple of full, lush ferns
in my wire baskets to hang on the front porch ~

Our shrubbery is in full bloom too ~

We need to enjoy these beautiful, mild days....
it won't be long and it will be blazing hot!!!

Do you remember my amaryllis that bloomed a few weeks back?
I had to save the blooms...
They've dried now and are as thin as tissue paper and
have taken on a whole new beauty to me ~

I don't know why but dried flowers are just as beautiful to me
as when they're alive....
here are a few camellias from my MIL's home that I've dried ~

OH! And look who's such a big girl now!!!
Clara is loving feeding herself ~

You have GOT to see this gorgeous piece of artwork
Lisa of Tarnished and Tattered just created....
I'm absolutely in love with it!!!!
Beautiful work sweet friend ~
Stop by her blog to see more photographs
of this wonderful creation.....

Hi Dawn.. I'm new here having just hopped in from "France". It's very pretty here.
Your granddaughter is beautiful.
I am trying on rebuilding healthy habits ~ not the easiest of tasks.. but very self gratifying when we succeed.

Happy Monday

Love the bunny having tea image, Dawn! Thanks for sharing. I have to find some way to use that with the little china tea sets I picked up from Goodwill recently.

Hi dear Dawn,
I got so inspired of your blog, today, that I also had to go buy ivy to plant --can`t stay outside in nights here yet, but it must soon be warmer here,too--I hope!!
The dryes petals are so very beautifull-wonders of past life--
And little Clare, grows up so quickly, -as my grandchildren, too.
Hope you are feeling good ,sweetie,
sending you big hugs,
and love.

What a wonderful post today! Loved seeing your new plantings. Here in Ohio we are a bit :) behind you, we can't be planting much, as we are still getting freezes on and off here, but oh, the flowering crabapples, etc are in full bloom and they are gorgeous against the emerald green grass!
Thanks, too, for the sweet vintage pictures, they brought a smile to my face!
And lastly, I'm on a diet, too (South Beach - HIGHLY recommend it) and I noticed how much more energy I have now that I'm not putting all those nasty foods into my body!
I'm really enjoying visiting your blog!

LOVE the bunny pictures. Thanks for sharing them. Your plantings all look great! I have so many things blooming that are so pretty but, darn if the weeds aren't thriving too. Where are the garden fairies when you need them? HUGS! Charlene

Wow, those dried flowers are really beautiful. I'm anxious to see what you do with them. Something amazing, I'm sure. Would love to have you come check out my first giveaway ever. I think I'm heading over to Mitzi's. You'll like my last post on angel food cupcakes, just omit the fancy frosting. ;-)

The weather "is" spectacular right now. I am looking forward to getting things in the ground...all I have done is transplant some Monkey Grass around the shed. Clara,,what a messy but fun stage,,to funny, enjoy, pretty soon it will be potty training time. I love the dried flowers, we have a camelia, but I miss the drying, didnt even think of it. The collage is yummie.
