Well, hello!

It's frigidly cold here this morning in Georgia...

wind chills in the teens ~

But we can dream of spring, right?

And look at what I found this morning!
An amaryllis bulb from Christmas before last....
peeking out to say, "Hello, is it spring yet?"

Dreaming of spring . . .

xxoo, Dawn

Dreaming of Spring is all I can do. How lovely it would be to see blues skies, feel a little warm sunshine on your face, admire the soft fresh greens of very young foliage on the trees, sigh at the beauty of the loveliest pink and white cherry blossom........ It has been raining for days on end, and it is horridly dark and grey all day long.

Hi Dawn,
My name is Susan deGeneres and although I've been inspired by your blog for nearly a year, this is the first time I've left a comment. Well, I've finally decided to take the plunge and start one of my own. I want to let you know how much I've enjoyed getting to know you and how much I love visiting your nest everyday. Thanks for giving me the inspiration and encouragment to start my own blog.

Dear Dawn,

I have this funny feeling that when Spring makes her appearance this year there will be a rumbling sound from shore to shore, border to border and it will be the shouts of joy from all of us! Hurry up Spring...the flower bulbs are winning the race this year in spite of all the SNOW!

Hi Dawn, I'm so dreaming of spring too. It's raaining and melting our 2 feet of snow from yesterday. More on the way! Your nest in the basket is so adorable! I just drool over your designs. Have a great weekend! Sherry

The wonder of spring is indeed a blessing. I walked by one of the benches in the garage yesterday & I noticed that in a pot I had just tossed the tulip bulbs that I had dug up last year. No soil, no mositure all of late summer & now the winter yet, they are sprouting. All piled one on top of the other. MIRACLES! We just have to look to find them. HUGS! Charlene

Dear Dawn,
I've been following your blog for several months now, and have to get my Feathered Nest fix every night. I've left an occasional comment and so love to read about your day.
It's been on the back burner to start my own blog for a few months now, and, last night on a whim, I DID IT!
Thank you for your great example and inspiring me to follow my heart!

That is the coolest thing! Right now I can't even imagine spring. We're in the middle of blizzard #3 here in Pennsylvania as I write this. They're calling it a snow hurricane: white out conditions and seventy mph winds. As long as I'm in my studio with plenty of supplies, it can snow until Spring! Have a great day, Dawn! Terri

I'm doing the same here.... I think it is the extra daylight we're getting here in Alaska, it sure wakes me up! My horse and kitties are in full shedding mode too. Unfortunately, we got another foot of snow last week, so the signs of spring I saw just last week are buried now!

Oh well, I can dream, can't I?
