There are still a few around that I love...

magazines, that is.
I love all things old,
classic, cottage, restyled and antique...
not mod, urban and sleek.

I still love Victoria magazine,
even though it's not the original
they are doing a wonderful job with the new one,
don't you think?

A few more antique photographs for you ~

I have the latest issue of Victoria and think it's beautiful!

They have a feature inside about Peacock Park Design....
and I'm so in love with the products they design
with that vintage look and feel. And they even have a blog!
Gina's studio was featured in the latest
Where Women Create magazine too ~

Don't you just love looking at beautiful things?
I'm sure that's one of the many reasons blogging
has become so popular.
I think as women we need beauty around us...
it soothes our souls and makes us smile.

Wishing you a beautiful, relaxing Sunday precious friends,
hugs and love,
Dawn

What DO those women have on their heads? The things which are done in the name of fashion and beauty, they sure make me cringe at times.
The magazine looks really lovely. Of course, they are not available in the shops over here in the UK, sigh. I drool over so many pictures of fabulous US magazines, like Somerset Life, Romantic Country etc. So thank you for giving us a glimpse of the inside of this one. Lovely!

Dearest Dawn,

That's exactly why I follow your blog...I can be having the absolutely worst worrisome day and I visit you, look at your photos or artwork, read your postings and I am reassured...calmed...my breathing slows...and from deep within my heart...I remember whatever is going on around me...I can be confident in the knowledge that there is beauty and peace in Dawn's blog...

Thank you!

Dawn, Thank you for the pictures!!! I am so glad and thankful that you will be attending our planning meeting! I think it is going to be a great opportunity to have something GREAT for the women of Georgia! I so desire to attend something like this, but they always seem to be in Washington, Texas or somewhere else far away in an ancient land from this homemaker... Again Thanks dear friend!!
Magazines.... Can't wait to pick up the new Flea Market Style... should be interesting with Heather Bullard!
Hugs, Yvette

Hi Dawn,
I have been to Gina's antique store that was called Peacock Antiques (Fenton, Michigan) and was so bummed when it closed a year or two ago! I didn't buy much , but loved to look! It was the most gorgeous place ever with many large french furniture, fountains, linens etc. Just beautiful!! We would stop there on the way to my daughters house. We also just found out that Peacock Park is 13 minutes away from my daughters house so we are going exploring next time we are there!
Hugs~

Good Morning Dawn!!!
I still love Victoria magazine too (it's hard to leave a beloved mag) but I always get my favorite eye candy and inspiration HERE at your home!!! ;)

I received my copy of Art Quilting too and I love your article (just as all the rest too!!!)

And congrats on your new space! It looks like you are settling in nicely (and beautifully!)

I just can't keep up with you girl...how do you find the time to do all what you do??? Is little Clara doing all the work? ;)

Thanks for sharing the beauty Dawn...I catch up with you and leave soooooo inspired~

Dawn, I love Victoria, Romantic Homes and Romantic Country. I missed Mary E. Home Companion. I find I'm buying less and less since I'm getting my fix out of blogging. I find blogging much more personal and sometimes so uplifting. Some of the girls out there are better decorators and stilyst that some people in the magazines. Take care and have a blessed week. By the way I have been creating too, stop by and tell me what you think. Blessings, Marta.

OMG, that Peacock Park article in Victoria was fabulous! Would you just die for that glassed dome building? Too gorgeous. I saw her in WWC but did not realize she had the mansion and grounds also. Plus she was beautiful - hey, this is totally unfair!!!????? Loves, QueenMarcy
