Old is beautiful ~

Is it because I'm getting older I feel this way?
Seems as though all you hear about is everyone trying to look younger....
but the older I get the more I love all things old!
I guess it's a good thing.....

A few image gifts for you today!

I hope you have a wonderful Tuesday dear friends!
hugs and love,
Dawn

Oh Dawn sweetie...
Beautiful pics you have shared this morning. I love the woman sleeping. I only wish I looked that lovely in the morning on my pillow.

The leather bound book is so beautiful. Knowledge after you wake.

The older picture of the woman is just gorgeous. How life ends for most of us. So beautiful.

I thank you for sharing with me this morning. I so love it when you do.

Have a beautiful Tuesday. Country hugs from Country Wings in Phoenix. Love, Sherry

I'm right there with you. But then I've always had an old soul - or so I've been told.

Thanks for the wonderful images.

Girl didn't you know, 50 is the new 30! I swear when I was 18 I thought 50 was nursing home time! Now days it's really hard to tell how old someone is, it's all in the attitude isn't it? One thing about creative people, I think we all see the world as children do...a magical place where we see a heart in a rock or beauty in a weed. Happy day! Lisa

I have fun each and every time I visit. I think we would have fun searching together for fallen nests. I have collected close to 100 nests fallen from my own tall pines, gathered over many, many years!
Each post you present on your blog is a joy to read and see. Just thought I would tell you that.

Thank you for sharing these lovely images! It is sad how 'old' is not very appreciated whether it be peole or things. I have always had a heart ffor time worn items, they carry un unspeakable history and I long to know their secrets. I often think I was born decades too late!

Wonderful pictures...and so well put! I love old things too, in fact I rather have something old than new.

Yes, the older I get, the more I appreciate older things, antiques and vintage and such.

Oh won't it be great when we learn to embrace the cracks, the spider lines, the shadows, etc.? I'm all for that! And I agree with you...things of age are far more interesting and lovely.

I think it's a comfort when things are way older than me...

I love older stuff, the quality, the way it was made and the memories attached to it!

I love the beautiful things you share on your post. The timeworn images and reflections of things past.. . .make my days more beautiful, refresh and inspire me.

I don't think it's because you're old that you appreciate old things. I'm fifty two years old, and I'm not old, and I appreciate old things as far back as I can remember :)

I never thought that I would love the old and really used things of the past, but I do. I am not sure why, but I find them comforting. Like holding onto something special that had a life.
I often have thought that I should have lived in a different time because of how I feel. Your post have been such eye candy to this old soul.
I look forward to your adventures. Hugs, Mary
