Gifts and peeks ~

I scanned in a couple of wonderful old album pages for you!!
The flowers are just beautiful....
Print these out on gorgeous creme colored cover stock,
cut out the center with a craft knife
and place a lovely image in the opening....
or maybe poem?

I bought the latest copy of Somerset Life yesterday and ohmygoodness...
it's ALWAYS packed with so much beauty,
I turn the pages slowly so I can drink it all in!
I love all of the ideas ~
this magazine will definitely get your creative juices flowing!
Take a peek....

I love seeing blog friends inside!!

A beautiful photo I took in my studio
of something hanging from the ceiling....
can you tell what it is? :)

A beautiful little girl's crinoline ~
I wish I had tons of them hanging on the ceiling....

I'm so excited!!! My art pieces are finished
and on their way to Pam for her book!
Now I'm going to get started on a few new things....

I hope you are staying warm where you are ~
we've had temperatures in the low teens for the last few nights
and the weather man is even talking about snow on Thursday!!!
In Georgia we don't do snow...
we'll all be heading for the grocery store
for milk and bread like a bunch of goobers!!!

Wishing you a great Tuesday dear friends,
hugs and love,
Dawn

Beautiful pages, thank you!
The magazine looks brilliant, I wish we could get it over here in England. Hmmm, I'll have to make enquiries.

your crinoline looks so cute...i have been wanting one {or two or three}...Heather uses them for her photo backgrounds quite a bit, and i think that looks so pretty...

The album pages are beautiful-thank you so much for sharing them (did I ever tell you that I have a "feathered nest" folder in my image file?)Such generosity! The crinolines are delightful! Once, when I was about 8 yrs old, after my older sister left for school, I swiped her crinoline and wore it to school myself. (She is 8 yrs older than me...and was much taller) All day long I was hiking it up under my skirt. Boy was I in trouble when I got home!
Load up on magazines for the snow-that's what I did last week. Nothing like being snowed in with great stuff to read!

Hi Dawn- are those pages from the lovely album you found that day we went shopping? I sold all of mine when I got mine- should've scanned them too!! My SOmerset Studio ran out, maybe I'll go with Life instead! My necklace was supposed to be published in this issue, I thought. Hmmm.

Thank you so much for the photo album images, Dawn! They are just beautiful! I must clue you in on a fantastic bricks-and-mortor shop I found in my neck of the woods via a post you made mentioning her shop (not sure if it was for a give-away or what). Anyhoo, since she was near my home in the western suburbs of Chicago, I decided to check her shop out and O-O-H!! If you ever decide to brave a visit to the Chicagoland area (-20 with windchills yesterday), I highly suggest you visit her store--the most beautiful I've seen! The pictures on her blog do not even begin to tell the story of the beauty that lies within. Becky from Vintage Living, it is her store I'm talking about. She may be featured in the spring issue of Where Women Create.

Dawn,
Thanks for coming by and for the graphics!
They are great!

When i saw your sweet little tart tin pin cushion awhile back i thought i might get some done for the store, but it never happened.
Maybe I'll be re inspired now. Working on some 'different' than my usual style valentines right now.(at least in my head) =)).

Love the Somerset Magazine pics.
Someday I will let my cheap self have one!
(maybe I should have put that on my Christmas list. Too late now.) =0)

Blessings on your day.

Thank you dawn, I have something in mind that I can use those scans for. :-)

That is the coolest pic of the crinolines! Maybe I'll use that as a scan, too! LOL, I'm a shameless opportunist.

Wow, I had no idea Laura was featured in Somerset Life, I have so many wonderfully talented, famous blog buddies!

Love ,
Anne

Hi Dawn! Yes, it's positively frigid here in Morgantown. Over the weekend we were registering wind chills of thirteen below! I hear the coming weekend will be worse. I often think of those poor soldiers up the road in Valley Forge during the Revolution. At least we have heat! Thank you so much for the gorgeous album pages. Now I know what I'll be playing with tomorrow! Stay warm and have a great week.

I did not realize the new issue was out yet, I must run to the book store at lunch time! Another great book I just bought is Art Making & Studio Spaces by Lynn Perrella. You can find it at www.joggles.com. It shows some of the master artist's studios. I'm trying to ignore the snow warnings in Georgia so I do not panic yet.

Dawn. Can I use the picture from Laura's page and the magazine cover picture to do a post about her on my blog? I will link my readers back to you to see the rest of your post. Let me know. Thank you.

After reading your posts on this magazine, Dawn, I was looking for it at Michaels. I couldn't find it, but I just did a cursory look. I hope you don't mind my asking, where can I find Somerset Life? Is it a subscription only type of magazine? Thanks very much! My sister and I would be very much interested in looking through it.
