It's funny how your tastes change...

Don't you think so? Is it because I'm getting older and love older things better?? I found something wonderful on ebay a while back and had to get it ~ it is a herbarium on a CD!!

You know, specimens of plants, gathered, documented and preserved for history. Well, the AMAZING fact is that the dates on this particular book are from 1576 to 1600!!!!! Can you believe that?

We have an old window frame hanging over our fireplace and I think I want to remove the prints that are in the panes and pick out some of my favorite pages from the herbarium, have them printed on beautiful cream card stock and place them inside the window panes instead. I love the earthy feel of these prints......

I'll paint the frame dark khaki or a pretty dark brown.....

Look HERE for some gorgeous inspiration ~

You may have heard about this already but
The Brocantess is having a wonderful giveaway on her blog...

I have a thing for jars. I admit it....I look at them all as a possibility!
Want some jar inspiration? Take a look at this:
Mason Jar Madness....from Pewter+Sage

I hope your week is going great!!
I'm trying to get back into the creative groove....
sometimes you just get knocked off the tracks ~

Wishing you all a wonderful Wednesday dear friends ~
hugs and love,
Dawn

When I was a kid I could not stand the way my mother decorated in vintage style! I despised all that "old stuff". Now as an adult woman I just can't get enough of it so I guess tastes really do change! I love the vintage photos of plants and flowers you posted and love what you did with them. Thanks for sharing. :)

Ooh I love the book with the prints in it. What a find. Simply wonderful. I think we all change with age hopefully for the better, I am a fine wine as I think you are. I think it would be lovely to change out and repaint the old window. It is green at its best.
