There's always so much to comment on here. Great minds think alike...I snagged Tina's recipe, too. Also snagged Suzanne's (The Farmer's Wife) Chicken and Dumplings Recipe today.

The eggs look beautiful in that apothecary. Perfect.

Those little shoes are priceless and I agree with you totally about the tag's verse. Very special indeed.

Hi Dawn!
GASP! Love, love the shoes. Oh my! I have always wanted a "collection " of button up shoes! A pair of children's and a pair of ladies. Just to imagine who wore them and where they wore them to . . . the imagination can take off.
I am really excited about Mary's class. I had so much fun doing Heathers journal, I am working on my box still, just haven't found something the right size. But I am being patient because I want it to be perfect!
I am off to check out the chicken salad recipe! YUM!
Have a wonderful day!

Hey Dawn,
I have been so busy around here that I haven't had a chance to say I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the collaged tray that you sent me. I am going to drill holes in the top so that I can hang it from a ribbon or lace! My hubby even thought it was pretty cool. I have pics taken and will blog abt. it soon. I love your snowmen, I have been making some similar to that but cannot figure out how to get the glitter to stay, what are you using on yours? I used glitter glue on the ball and then sprinkled with glitter but it just flakes right off, ugh!!!
thanks,
angela

love your gifts too. The tag especially, the vers is beautiful and done well. Such a beautiful reminder of his love and care.
But I do wonder about the child that had those shoes? What did they do, who were they, where did they live? I can seee you making snowmen, it's cold and raining here. Snowmen would fit right in.

Oh, Dawn, what a wonderful post! I love the shoes!!!!! I have a pair of my dad's baby shoes sitting on a dresser in my home--they look like Mary Janes--funny how many baby boys were dressed like girls all those years ago! i want you to know that when I'm feeling a little down (and, of course, even when I'm not!) I always feel so much better when I visit your blog. I know there will always be something interesting, inspiring, and comfort there. Your little snowman is absolutely delightful--I would love to be a member of the art class group--maybe one day when I have more work. Things are a little slow right now, as they are everywhere! Have a WONDERFUL weekend!!!!!!!
