Lace, drop-cloth canvas & seam binding...
what more do you need?

I've been wanting to put together a pincushion lately....
you know how you just get something in your head
and you're not satisfied until you see it finished??

Here's my latest offering available in The Shoppe ~
created from canvas drop cloth (yes, I AM addicted to the stuff)
beautiful antique lace and the prettiest shade of seam binding.
All accented by a Mother of Pearl buckle ~

Now I want to make something else!!!
It's funny how when you finish one thing,
you want to keep going....and create more!

Here's a sweet giveaway my friend Rose shared with me ~
Ana of A Petite Cottage is celebrating 100 followers!!
She's giving away a beautiful Christie Repasy signed print~

Our son David is coming home from Savannah tomorrow,
Chase is home from college,
and Brad will be joining us (Dennis, Noah and I)
Saturday evening at Brent and Emily's house for a big cookout!!!
All the boys together!!
That doesn't happen very often anymore and
I treasure the times that we are all together ~

I hope you have a great Thursday sweet friends!!!
hugs and love,
Dawn

YOur little pincushin is lovely Dawn. Just the right amount of embelishments to make it beautiful. The mother of pearl belt buckle is awsome on that canvas. I love that color for seam binding too.
Hope you have a great time with the boys and have a wonderful day!

Lovely pincushion Dawn....almost too pretty to stick pins in! I love pincushions and have several here and there, which makes it easy to find a pin when needed! I know you are looking forward to the weekend...there's nothing like a family gathering, and I'm sure you will make it wonderful for all...Enjoy,
Susie

Canvas dropcloth and seam bindng never looked so good, Dawn! I love this! I've seen a lot of people who have posted using the dropcloth, not just for pillows, but for window treatments. Apparently, this is very versatile. I may have to see where I could use it.

It's always so great to have all the kids in one place at one time - enjoy!

About the drop cloth canvas..I can't seem to get the smell out of mine...I bought it at Lowe's and it has sort f a chemical smell - I have washed it but only once..does your have the same issue and if so, did more washings help? (I do have a very sensitive nose..)

Gorgeous pincushion Dawn!! Love the buckle that you used on it too.
I hope you have a wonderful time with all your family too. My kids are spread all over and we all get together maybe twice a year!! We see them separately, but hard to get them all in one place. lol

That is stunning, sugar! I use canvas for lots of things around my home. Aprons for one! I made Love Bunny an apron for his model RR train room when he's craftin' trains and he loves it. Canvas! Yep, cheap for lots of it and works wonders.

Just wanted to add my note. I'm tickled that your pincushion will be coming to reside in my home. I collect (and use) them, and I have to say that I don't think I've moved that fast in ages in hopes of being the new lucky owner! It's simply, elegantly, stunningly beautiful. And I'm such a Lucky Girl! Thanks for helping me complete the sale to make my purchase possible.
