Just about anything can be turned into art ~

Or at least that's what I'm telling myself!!
I hope you don't think I'm going off the deep end
but my son was throwing away a pair of khaki shorts the other day
and I loved the look of them!!
Tattered, torn...(I think he bought them that way :)
so I've started working on a little something on canvas ~
I love pockets and pouches,
they are just waiting to hold wonderful things, don't you think?

A recent find I had to share with you ~
a wonderful small pitcher with gorgeous crazing and staining...

If you would have asked me years ago
if I would buy this in an antique store
I would have said, "no way!"
but now that I'm older, I see the beauty of stains and crazing :)

I've put together single sample packs of The Feathered Nest egg soap!!
Only 3.00 and that includes shipping in the US ~
I've included a sweet tiny nest to hold the egg too!

They're in the shoppe if you're interested in trying a sample ~

Today is sweet Emily's birthday and we gave her a gift certificate to Barnes & Noble. She loves books as much as I do, so we're heading off to the book store today ~ Clara enjoys it too!!

Be sure to stop by and see Chris at Maple Ridge Vintage ~
she has some precious children's images to give you!!!

Wishing you a great Tuesday dear friends,
hugs and love,
Dawn

Happy Birthday to your sweet Emily! Have fun browsing in the bookstore. I know you will find something fantastic to share with us.

LOVE the pocket. Now I know I am not alone, I just kept an old denim shirt that I used as a painting smock because I loved the spattered pocket. Hopefully one day it too will make it into my art.

Have a fun day with your girls!

Funny about those shorts - does your son know you have them morphing into an art project? Can't wait to see the final creation ~ so clever of you to envision a canvas project! Have a lovely week ~ Angela

Dawn if anybody can make beautiful art out of a pocket, it would be you. Can't wait to see what you do with it. I absolutely love and am coveting the little pitcher. I have a small collection myself and would love to find one like that! Have a wonderful day.

Hi Dawn,
Only you would look at a pair of khakis and see artistic potential in them! : )
I love your little pitcher and I'm so excited that you're offering samples of your egg soap. I just ordered one ~ I think they may be perfect for some little dishes I'm giving a couple friends for Christmas, so i may be back for more.

Happy Birthday to emily and I know you all are having fun at Barnes & Noble.

Dawn,
I just love coming over here for a visit.
You always have the sweetest posts.

Love the khaki pockets, but I would probably have to 'rough' them up a bit more, and pour some tea on them.
A little too nice for my crows. =0))))

Cute little egg soaps in the nests.

Thanks for the tip on the images. Going over to check them out.
(better go for my walk first I guess). =0))

Blessings on your day friend.
