In the thick of it ~

I'm right in the middle of making mitten ornaments for a special order ~ I forgot how pretty they were! There's something about the creamy color of the warm and natural batting. It comes it white too, but I'm always drawn to the cream. Loving lace, buttons and ribbon...this project is always so fun. I get to play with the things I love!

I wanted to show you these beautiful French postcards that I received in the mail from Adrienne ~ I won one of her giveaways on her blog, The Flying Bee....aren't they beautiful?!
Thank you so much sweet Adrienne ~ I'll be sure to share them too!

And for some Halloween goodness....
Brad and Noah carved their pumpkins and here they are!

Funny, huh? They were the only boys home
to participate in the pumpkin carving this year
but they had a great time together, and even roasted pumpkin seeds!

What a sweet little project...love the look of the mittens all lined up with their vintage buttons (and you sewed all of them?!!)
The pumpkins are GREAT! We have yet to carve any and Halloween is fast approaching!
I voted for your beautiful Fall photo today...too bad you'll have to wait until December to find out the winner (my fingers are crossed for you!).

Those mitten ornaments are so sweet, Dawn! I know they are ornaments, but they look like mittens for babies.

Dawn, More than just the mittens, which I love, I also enjoy seeing your stash of buttons, old lace and ribbons. Just the way everything is organized is eye catching.

The boys did a great job on the carved pumpkins, very original!

Dawn, thanks again for posting about my giveaway. So many of your wonderful blog friends have stopped by. I am loving the bowl of buttons, so much better than a bowl of ice cream, less calories too :) Those mittens are just adorable. Have a great day my friend.

Dawn,
So many pretties today. Just looking at the makings for your mittens makes me smile. Pretty buttons, felt, ribbon....ahh. Whoever put the toothpicks in the jack-o-lantern is genius. Lisa
PS I am having such fun in the Artist Class.

Aw, the mittens are sweet. I just love the carved pumpkins! The toothpicks add such a sinister look when the pumpkin's aglow. I'll have to remember that trick!

Dawn,
The sweet little mittens look so dreamy! LOVE those pumpkins, so talented, those boys of yours. My daughter carved a rose in hers, I saw it glowing last on her porch as we drove home last night. At least you still have pumpkin carvers at home. Enjoy them!
