Gifts and goodness ~

~ Lovely images for you ~

Jamie of Remnants recently had a giveaway....
and I didn't win!!
But she sent me a gift anyway!
Are you amazed at the goodness here??

So many gorgeous, old Christmas cards and other goodies for creating ~
I'll be sure to share these images with you too!!!! I've got some serious
scanning to do with all of the new images I've gotten lately.
Oh Jamie, you are too generous sweet friend...
I love each and every gift!
And those chocolate covered cherries??
GONE!
Thank you so, so much ~ click on the photos to see the beautiful things...

And I wanted to share a little peek at the antique ledger I bought ~
I love it so much, how in the world am I going to cut it up????
I mean, this is history!! Look at the prices ~ amazing....
I'd love to know where it's from, I couldn't find anything inside at all.

Oh well, time will tell if I will end up using it in my artwork :)
for now, I'm just enjoying it as it is.

This week I'm starting on a few surprises for the Artist Class coming up
that Mary of Green Paper is hosting!!!

Wishing you a lovely week and a very happy Monday sweet friends,
hugs and love,
Dawn

WOW, What a nice gift!!! That just shows how much people love you Dawn! I love the old ledger and I would not be able to touch it either! Just think about the people who may have handled it! I bought an old desk last year and on the pull out ledge it had a paper with prices on it! Priceless! Well at least to me! LOL
Hugs and have a great week!

Such a wonderfull gift to a wonderfull woman, the cards looks so very sweet.
And the ledger, Dawn is fantastic, -I too have bought things to work with, that every time I try using them for some project, -they are silently put aside again....

There are so many nice and kind bloogers out there! How sweet of her to send you such a nice package.

I want to take a minute and thank you for offering such beautiful things for us to download from your blog. I've taken advantage, many times, of the nice pics you've offered.

Also, another thanks for visiting my new blog, and for your kind words in your earlier post about not getting discouraged as a new blogger. It really made me, personally, feel much better about what I'm doing, AND to really seek out the smaller, more personal blogs. Thanks!

What a lovely gift you got, Dawn! Some of those cards bring back memories of cards I remember from my childhood. The sweet choir boys one especially makes me feel like I have seen this before and makes me think of my grandmother, so maybe she was the one who either had it or sent it. Have fun with all that!

Dawn,
Great journal, I hunted all over Round Top looking for a neat one, all I found were empty ones. I think they are getting harder to find. Lisa

Hi Dawn, Thank you for the beautiful images! You have such pretty ones. Aren't the old cards so cool and your ledger book is so interesting. I would have a hard time cutting it up too! But even if you did, you would make something twice as beautiful with it. Have a great day!! So anxious to get my little thatched cottage pictures from your shoppe! Linda

Lovely gift Dawn. The top image is just gorgeous - beautiful colours. The ledger is fabulous - have been looking for something like this. The cover is lovely too. Mustard 5cents!

Dawn - Glad you got the package! The cards were a last-minute item I picked up from a friend of mine. I literally got stacks of old Christmas cards from her that she no longer wanted!!! Our good fortune! I think they are mostly from the 1920's - 30's... Enjoy! Jamie V in (snowy)Montana

I love the ledger! I just got a social security one that I don't want to cut up or anything, but will, as it was only a dollar and a great book .

5 boys??? And all this??? My darling, you are truly an inspiration!

Dawn, I love the ledger. You are right, it would be a shame to cut up. In those cases do you scan it and print on a heavier, nicer paper? I am wondering because I have a couple of things I would hate to cut up. Take care of yourself and have a wonderful day:)

your Day Book is just the best find. I am not sure that I could cut it up. The prices are amazing...is this what they are talking about when they say, "the good old days."
What a wonderful gift...real treasures. I have been working on Bazaar, so I have been crafting and Peddling. Happy Fall Dear Dawn, love your new picture..so pretty.

What a beautiful gift you have received, and you are always so great about sharing.

I have 2 old ledgers, and just hate to tear them up.
I have them in the store. Maybe someone will just want them as they are. One is even from companies in our area from the 1920's.

Blessings on your week.
