I love getting great mail!

Sweet mail arrived today ~ my very favorite Stampington magazine ever....Somerset Life! I still have a hard time calling it a magazine, it's so wonderful. Full of creative ideas that you can refer to over and over. My little bird girl dress and botanical canvas art are inside this issue. I took a few photos to give you an idea of what's inside....

Look at these beautiful pages ~

This issue should hit the newstands October 1st...and will be in major bookstores, Michael's, Joann's and other craft stores. I know you'll love it!!

A glimpse at the finished skep ~

A few tiny dress slips that I'm thinking of transforming....

Remember this old, junky wire?

It's perfect for making tiny hangers!

I hope to show you my giveaway gift soon!!!

Wishing you a wonderful Wednesday dear friends ~

hugs and love, Dawn

ps...It has rained so much here in Georgia. There are many areas that were and still are flooded but fortunately our county hasn't experienced any severe flooding. It has been awful for so many, please keep these families in your thoughts and prayers......

I LOVE that magazine..I know, I have a hard time calling it that, too. I usually refer to it as an 'art book'! How exciting to see your fabulous work published in it, too!
Can't wait to see what you do with the darling little slips!
Have a wonderful day!!
Blessings,
Myrna

Oh Wow Dawn! That is so cool that your creations are in the magazine, but it's no surprise. I just love your work and can't wait to get a copy of the magazine myself. Of course this is nothing new to you, you're an old pro at being publish from the looks of it.

I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with the cute slips. What a great use for the wire. As a kid my dad had tons of those spools around - if only I had them now. I've never hear the term "skep" before (it's a beehive, right?) but I adore it. It's just too cute!

Hey Dawn, congratulations on your article. I have to confess that I have seen this magazine at JoAnn's, but have never actually looked at one! I guess I'm a little behind on these things; however, I will be sure to purchase a copy next month! Your skep turned out great...I know that was fun to create. I have lots of 'bee' stuff and posted on them after I saw your post! Take care, you are a great inspiration!

Hi Miz Dawn!
Congratulations on the article! The bee skep is cute and I am glad you are getting time to create.
I have been watching the floods, I knew you were south of it all and safe, I am glad,,,prayers are needed for sure, as there is real devastation for so many. I'm counting my blessings too.

Like Susie, I have never looked through this magazine, although the title looks familiar so I'm sure I've seen it at Michaels. I should pick one up and check it out, if for no other reason than to see your items in it. Since I'm planning on making as many gifts as I can for the holidays {rather than buying} maybe I'll get some good ideas, too.

Oh Dawn, I am sooo proud of you. I can't wait to get that issue. Maybe I should order it online, sometimes it doesn't get to my bookstore until the 2nd week in October. I love the wire hangar. I am always looking for hangers for banners and such. Would love to find some of that wire. Lisa

Hi Dawn, I love your post today. So sorry I did not renew my subscription because that issue looks awesome and I hope I will remember to buy it. I'm anxious to see what you do with your little vintage dresses. Are you a follower of JoAnnA Periotti from Mosshill Studios? She is amazing with her little dress creations. I did one for my Bible cover and love it. I also want to do some more. Your little hanger is inspiring me right now. Hugs, Mollye

Oh Dawn, I meant to email you yesterday after I got my copy of the Somerset Life and saw your adorable art in it. What is really funny is that I can spot your art immediately! I was just flipping through it and saw the dress and thought "man, that looks like something Dawn would make." Hahaha, it was! Congrats!!!

Hey Dawn,
As always wonderful!!! I love the birdie dress. I need to send something in and try to get published. I keep saying that I am going to do it but things like showers, children getting engaged (YES, both of them are now engaged) and life gets in the way! I have some of my stuff at Vintage Village in Snellville and I love working there two days a month. I hope all is well with you, family and baby girl. Ours is growing like a sunflower!!! (Sunflowers always makes me smile and so does Emma)
Hugs,
Yvette
