Fall has arrived!

I absolutely love it! It officially arrives this afternoon at 5:18 pm EDT.

It's when my family moved into the neighborhood
where I met my future husband.
I was in fourth grade and he was in sixth.
The air was crisp and it was so fun
making new friends on our street.
Little did I know that the first friend I made
would be the father of our five children!!

Fall was wonderful growing up as a teenager,
driving my car with the windows down,
radio turned up loud and occasionally
catching the aroma of burning firewood........

I remember how wonderful it was the fall I started college ~
the leaves were so beautiful and I was so excited to be there.
Who knew I'd only go about five months to get my art degree???

Fall is also when my husband and I started dating, fell in love....
and became engaged.....

It was in the fall that we anticipated the birth of four of our five sons,
we were always so excited to meet each one of them.

So you see, when a season has so many wonderful memories,
you can't help but love it ~

I found this beautiful image at the thrift and
had to get it so I could remove it
from it's frame and scan it for you ~

A recent photo of sweet bebe Clara!!!
I snagged this one from Emily.... can you believe those legs?

I hope you have a great Tuesday sweet friends ~
hugs and love,
Dawn

Those are such pretty photos and I love what you wrote. Fall is my favorite time too. Just reading what you wrote reminded me of some of those same things.
I'm hosting my 1st give-away, please stop by and take a peek.
Thanks, Tracy

Lovely post! I said to myself "Awe, how sweet she is". You truly are precious to all of us. I went to an antique sale on Saturday and bought two pictures just to post for others to use. This blogging gets under your heart, doesn't it? (YOur fault, you are the one who talked me into this...lol)
Blessings, dear friend,
Sharon

Sweetie, I also love the fall and your pictures are beautiful. While I only have one child, she was also born in the fall and it was just so nice to have a baby in September - not too hot, not too cold. The weather here has been magnificent. It's so cute that Dorthe says your blog is the first thing she visits in the morning. For me it is usually the last thing I do at night. But today it is the other way around. Have a wonderful day.

Thanks for sharing the beautiful scans, but Clara is the prettiest pic of them all! Fall 'does' it for me too Dawn. I can smell fall. The crisp air, wet leaves, smoldering fire, like you said. Plus the anticipation of holidays to come. Lisa

I feel the same way about Fall you do. But, I wish we had more of a Fall. Our seasons are not really 4 seasons... more like 2 Hot or Cold. I dream of living somewhere that has seasons!!!! You are so lucky to have those memeories. Thank you for sharing the images. That one with the river & all the trees in full color just takes my breath away.

I am so glad you liked my apron. Thank you for your kind words on it. And yes, Lisa is such a sweetie. We are going to go to Round Top which is a huge week long Antique Fair together. We are sharing a luxury RV in a little town near by & are so excited to have this time together to visit, shop & play. I will think of you as I see all the treasures. I'll take lots of photos. Have a great week.

I was married in the fall 42 years ago Oct.14, and I just antiticpate it's return each year. Your images you shared today are so lovely. You are so generous and kind to your readers and I just wanted to tell you that beginning my day with reading your blog gets me off on the right foot! Thanks so much sweetie!

Fall is my favorite also. I missed summer this year in away, we always do so many things. But with Arney having surgery in May, our time was filled with getting him well. We didn't intertain, no travel. I love the leaves changing colors and the sweet smells in the fresh air. Cool nights and warm days. And then Halloween, Thanksgiving...yep, it's my favorit. Today Arney and I walked in downtown Nampa, we took pictures and then stopped for a nice cup of coffee. I love sweet creamy coffee.
Happy Fall, Your Mary

Dawn,
I'm worried about you. I saw flooding in Atlanta on the evening news. My Sarah said, isn't that where Miss Dawn lives? I told her that it is and she said she was going to write you and see how you are. I am, too.

Are you affected by the flooding? Are you all okay?

I wasn't doing much in the blogging world for awhile. My son, Robert, is very sick and we don't know why. Tomorrow he is going to a specialist. Hopefully, they will find out what's going on.

Well, sure hoping your not affected by all the water.

God bless, friend!
Elizabeth

Do you know i just recently found out you had this long list of your blog contents at the bottom of your blog??
Very ice. I like it is at the bottom too, instead of a long list on sidebar.
Just did not know it was here till someone mentioned it.

thanks
