Thoughts on life and love ~

I was reading sweet Jen's blog a day or so ago and read some heartbreaking news.....a blog friend of hers had passed away unexpectedly....I had never read her blog before but clicked the link ~

A sweet woman....Stacey Wolfley of The Thrifty Chick passed away suddenly from a stroke at the young age of 31 years old leaving four precious children behind ~ 8, 3, and 2 years old and a two week old baby....and a wonderful husband that I know is absolutely crushed that his precious wife is gone.

Do we really realize how fleeting our lives are??? And how very important our relationships with our loved ones are.....I'm so sorry for the sad post but it's times like these that make us stop, gather ourselves and realize the most important priorities in our lives.....

My mom called today and told me that my dad has prostate cancer.....she was completely calm and said they were going to use cryotherapy for him and the outlook is really good. He's recently had colon cancer and that alone was a scare in itself. He had a section of his colon removed and that turned out to be a great solution. My sweet prayer warriors, if you'll please mention him in your prayers I would be so appreciative....he says as long as he honors the Lord he's fine.....

But still....a daughter that loves her daddy still worries....

hugs and love sweet friends,
Dawn

Thinking of you and saying a prayer for your dad. My dad was diagnosed with the same about a year ago-doing great thanks to steroid injections every 3 months which shrunk the tumor......Love Tiina....

Dawn,
I'm sorry to hear about your dad. It is a difficult thing for a daughter to think about losing her dad. I lost mine last week.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your dad.

Will think good things for your Dad. It is so true what you say, we must treasure the important things. So many things that make us worry or stress us are actually insignificant in the scheme of things. Take Care Dawn.

Hi sweetie,

My heart hurts for you, Dawn-
I hope the treatment will do great for your father. And will pray for that.
I lost mine when he was only 64 years,-and as you know I lost my sister last year, only 56 years, so I know the worries, and the pain.

And yes we could surely all, be more happy and content in every minut we are here, sharing happiness and love with family, and friends.
How terribly for the other family loosing mother, and wife so young.

Dear friend, you are in my thoughts
-love to you, and hugs

Oh, Dawn, my prayers for your Daddy! I hope the doctors fix him right up to spend many more years with you! I miss my father so much. What a sad note about Stacey - I read her blog, a very sweet and talented young woman - those precious children and her husband need prayers, also, for the Lord's comforting arms around them. Have a lovely weekend with your family, dear Dawn! Blessings, Marji

I will also be praying for your Dad. I understand completely. My Dad had a surprise quintuple bypass last month. We take for granted how precious life is and how quickly it can be changed. I think your Father is correct, as long as we honor the Lord, there are no worries!

I also found out about sweet Stacey throgh a blog and am shocked and saddened. I did not know her and yet she and her family have been on my mind and in my prayers since I heard.
Your post is so beautiful and important. I still cannot believe I lost both of my parents. My mom is gone 5 years now and I was 45-too early to be without her advice and daily chats.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your dad, as well.

May your Father receive blessings & healings. Prayers are lifted for him & your family.

Yes, it is really sad that Stacey left so early.

No, people don't realize the moment ... we learned this quickly with the loss of our 3 yr. old Sean ... changes your whole outlook on life, the need to cherish 'the moment' & to keep God foremost in your life.

Our Daddys are our first love. I worshipped my Dad all the years of growing up. I will keep your Dad in my prayers & for the Lord to give your Mother strength & for you to have peace that passes all understanding". The Lord is with you all during this time and with Staceys family. So much hurt and so little time to pray so we must always be in an attitude of prayer. Glad blessings, Dawn, Sharon

Dawn, My prayers go out to the young family and friends of Stacey's. Such a loss for them.

I will also be holding you, your family and especially your dad in my prayers. One positive thought, someone close to me has lived with prostate cancer for many years now because of the therapies doctors now have. Hoping for the very best outcome from the caring doctors and from the prayers that will be going out for him!

Blessings!

May God give your and your family strenght during this time and the comfort that only HE can give.
