The sweet smell of lavender ~

When I met Tammy, Lee and Judy the other day I wanted to take them a little goodie. You know that I love printing images on fabric right? Well I decided to try some of the fabric sheets that are sold on The Vintage Workshop's website. They're ready to feed into the printer (you do have to know how paper feeds in and prints from your printer first) so that was a good thing!

So, I chose the images that I had downloaded on my computer from The Vintage Workshop site and used my photo editing program to size them....then placed the vinyl backed fabric sheet in the printer (my paper has to feed in face down, top first) and printed them right on the fabric!

The sheets have a clear backing on the fabric so you can peel it away when it's finished, then you can go ahead and sew with it! The images are from The Vintage Workshop too ~ so after a little stitching, and filling with lavender buds, I had three sweet lavender sachets for them!!

Thank you always for stopping by to see me and what I've been up to ~ I treasure each and every one of you and your sweet comments!

Wishing you a wonderful weekend my sweet friends!
xxoo, Dawn

OK. Let me see if I understand:
Are those already the fabric? Or you stick it to the fabric?
How do i get confused so easily?? =0)

Looking forward to doing my 'projects' from your wonderful file. Since i had already purchased one last year, I know how easy to read and follow they are.
No confusion there!!!

Thanks friend, for everything!!!
Blessings.,

So sweet and I'm sure sweet smelling.
I can't wait to get some of this paper. I guess I live under a rock, I have always used the print--iron--peel paper. This looks like a wonderful thing.

Always lovely,
Candy

Amy (of the Vintage Workshop) gave me some of those once and they are really wonderful to work with. I've tried the ones that Hobby Lobby sells, but the brand Amy has is so much better!

You certainly have created some lovely gifts with the sheets!

Those turned out so pretty. What sizese paper/fabric did you use? Love the idea of sachets. PRETTY CHOICE OF DESIGN! I got to go to the Scrapbook Convention & bought some pretty pre-printed fabric images from Crafty Secrets. Thanks for sharing as you always do.

They turned out beautiful! You can also get the fabric made to go through your computer printer at quilt stores. I use it to print customized messages for the recipients of my quilts and then stitched them to the backside of the quilt.

Wow, I didn't know you could even do stuff like that. I am not up on technology very much, but I am saving my $$ for a color printer. I want to buy one and then go back through your posts for the pretty images you share and print them otu (especially the ones with birds in them) and make stuff. That's my dream for this summer.

I guess color printers aren't all the same. I hope I choose a good one.

How is Clara? What a beautiful name! It's old-fashioned and romantic.

I'm getting ready to go back to NC and VA. I can't wait to put my feet down on the ground from whence I came! :)

God bless!
