You find a lot of neat stuff when you move!!

As I arrange the new art space, I keep finding things that I'd totally forgotten about.....I'm trying so hard to place things and group things with like items so I can track them down much easier. It's really coming along and I can't wait to show you the finished room!!

I thought I'd take a few photos of some small things that I love ~ a pair of beautiful cameos, I'm not sure if they are chalkware or not, a gift from my sweet friend Judy ~

The most wonderful fabric that I found just a few weeks ago at.....you won't believe, Walmart!! Two different fabrics but they look wonderful together.... it has that speckled look that I love....maybe a little French looking even?

Some lavender buds that I dried from a plant my husband gave me ~ the plant didn't fare too well but I really want to try again....

Beautiful old boxes that contain very functional office items that were popular in their day ~ I love the graphics and their boxes as well ~

I didn't realize I had so many of these Home Companion magazines saved but I'm so very glad that I did!!! I can't wait to pour through them all again ~ I miss the old ME Home Companion

A sweet Clara shot for your Monday ~ she's living the life.....held by her great-grandmother in this photo :)

And a few gifts for you!!! I hope that you can use these in some way ~

Please forgive me if I haven't been able to respond to all of your sweet and thoughtful comments. I do want you to know how very grateful I am that you take time out of your busy day to stop by for a visit and leave a word of kindness ~ thank you so very much!!!

Wishing you a wonderful Monday sweet friends,
xxoo, Dawn

Hi, Dawn --
Love your blog and all the wonderful images -- and your comments, too! I referenced your tutorials (and that some are free) on my NEW blog.

I know you are busy, but feel free to come by for a look-see and share any words of advice for a new blog-maker (years of blog-reading!).

Have a great week!

Betty :)

Good morning, Dawn!! First, Baby Clara is so PRECIOUS!! LOVE the photos!! A little hint when drying lavender or any herb, really, tie stems together and hang stem up, tops down for a week or so. Keeps the color better and all the essential oils drain into the buds! Pop over to my new blog and see the pix I put in of your new plant, too - I grow them, wish I could send you one to thank you for the inspiration you have been!! Blessings, Marji

It's so true that we find things long lost when we move. Oh the things that are lost in this house!

Beautiful Clara sleeping in her great-grandmother's arms. I'm certain that she is one adored baby as all should be.

Hope that you keep right on finding your treasures...

After seeing your collection of magazines and knowing what a collector of magazines I am I want to tell you what I ran into yesterday. At Ikea they had white magazine holders. Cardboard 5 to a pack for 2.99. But I know with you they would not stay plain white for long lol.
Anyway it was just an idea for your organization project.

The cameos are wonderful, aged to perfection. I don't know how you even have time to blog with moving your art room and baby Clara to hold. Blessings on your day!

Dawn,

The cameos are stunning but that Clara.....she is such a precious and beautiful girl. I cannot wait to see your completed art studio. I know you are so thrilled to have the room to organize and create the space of your dreams.

Dawn, Clara is just the sweetest and oh so peaceful. Now that you have your very own granddaughter, I'll bet all those paperdolls in the ME magazines will find a special home. I have saved mine for too many years to count and my little granddaughter Olivia (6) will have them sometime soon. I just can't wait to share that experience with her. One of my favorite activities. Thanks again for all you do and share. Nancy

Visiting your blog is like having a great big hug from a life sized teddy bear. It always feels so warm and fuzzy being here and reading what's new. Visiting here makes me slow down and enjoy.
Thanks!

I always find great things that bring back memories when it's time to move or just move a room around. It's my favorite part about moving and re-organizing.
