I'm tired but so excited!

Well, it's late Friday night (actually Saturday morn early) and I've finished all the food. The cupcakes are decorated....quite simply but I love them that way ~ I will add the little picks tomorrow at the shower.

I've discovered a wonderful idea! I bought these EZ foil tins that came two to a pack. Well I bought three packs to make 36 cupcakes. I baked them in these disposable pans but have LEFT them in the pans to decorate them and to transport them!! I'll just toss them after the party but they should keep them from touching one another and getting damaged. I created several shallow boxes to lay them all in and covered the box with aluminum foil and tape. Cool, huh?

I'm taking the camera and hope to get some wonderful photos of Emily opening her gifts and of the party itself!!! Thank you all so much for cheering me on these last few weeks!

I found the cupcake decorating set at Michael's (coupon) and then found this delicious icing at W-mart!!!!! 11.97 for the large tub and it flows through the pastry bag like a dream!!

I wanted to share an amazing artist with you. I just love sheep and lambs....well, I came across Colin Richmond and his beautiful creatures!! He specialized in sheep but also creates other beautiful animals. I've shown a few below but you can visit Colin's site HERE and take a look around at his wonderful artwork.

Wishing you a wonderful Saturday sweet friends!!!
xxoo, Dawn

Have fun at the shower! Can't wait to see photos. That is a great idea with the cupcakes. I use a tub of icing for decorating that I get at my local cake decorating store. I LOVE it! It's so easy AND it's buttercream frosting...YUMMMY! Yes, I just said YUMMMY with 3 M's, LOL!

The artist you've featured does amazing work. Those animals are adorable.

Have a wonderful time, I'm excited for you too:-) My (army) son and his new wife just got stationed only 6 hours away! I'm so excited I can hardly stand it, I've been busy turning hubby's office into a guest bedroom for them to come stay in. Love it when they come back to the nest, even if it's only for a visit.

Dawn,
I know you had a wonderful time at the baby shower. There is simply nothing in this world like a grandchild, be it the first or the last. God blesses us constantly doesn't He?

My youngest grandson (18 months) just called me on the phone for the first time. I think it was pure accident, but I didn't care. He very sweetly said Hello Mimi when he heard my voice and I just melted.

I wish you many happy memories with your grandaughter!
