You can be inspired to create by the smallest things!

A sweet parcel arrived in the mail ~ another random act of kindness!!! I just have to share these treasures with you! One of the most amazing, delightful things about blogging is this very thing.....thoughtfulness beyond measure!! Sharon at My Vintage Studio mailed me the most wonderful things to use in my artwork ~ Just take a look.... OH, and she's having ANOTHER giveaway on her blog so CLICK HERE to enter :)

Can you believe such wonderful old things she gifted me??? Thank you so so much Sharon!!! I love each and every thing!! I will have to share the beautiful engravings with you all ~ I'll scan them in soon....

And just look at this precious handsewn night dress.....I can see Clara toddling around in it now!!!

This is just a random thing but this is my new favorite item to work with....coffee dipped and dried cheesecloth! It has the softness of lace but has a more earthy, natural look ~

And on to why I titled my post about inspiring someone ~ After receiving my wonderful package from Sharon I was so inspired by her gifts that I just had to finish this piece that I was working on in the lid of an old suitcase!!! I used one of her gifts right at the top, the pretty metal ornament ~ Thank you again Sharon!

I designed this to hang just as you would a canvas. It's about 22" wide by about 14" tall and it's 2" deep. It's similar to a shadowbox but with all of the charm of the hardware on the suitcase! This piece is for available for purchase in my Lollishops store!

I have a thankful heart today.... thankful for such sweet, thoughtful friends ~ for my loving family ~ for a cozy house to sleep in ~ for good health .... and for the love of our Lord ... for so many things ~

A thankful heart is a happy heart!

Wishing you a great Thursday sweet friends ~

xxoo, Dawn
