Oh Dawn, do we ever share a commonality. I still have my first record album~it was his...you know, the one with him sitting on the piano bench in the rw&b pants. What a fun recognition! I should find that album and do my own post! Enjoy your day as you celebrate!

Oh--be still my heart! I,too, remember Donny Osmond's birthday..it's been a running joke between Steve and me--because I'm quicker to remember Donny's than Steve's when asked!! ;-)
I still have all the albums, plus the fan club info and a huge scrapbook--all in a box in the rafters in the garage. Zac (our oldest) was helping with the organization and it's marked in his handwriting "Ozmund Stuff"..:-D

Wouldn't it be fun for us to meet in Vegas and see their show?!!
Tickets are pretty pricey, I think, tho. Oh well. Sigh.

I'm with LW...I'm such a Bob Dylan fan! He and Donny don't really have too much in common, do they? Oh, well, as a good friend used to say, "Whatever blows your bobbysox down!"

I was in love with him, too! Everything I owned in 3rd and 4th grade was purple or had his face on it! I had posters of him all over my walls. That's so funny that you remember his birthday!!He has turned into quite a wonderful man.

Now who didn't love Donny?? LoL I spend may hours practising writting Jazy Osmond for when Donny and I would get married! ( the language barrier might have been a problem! I didn't speak a word English and I don't think Donny's Dutch was much better LoL)

Oh Donny! I loved him too!!! "Go Away Little Girl" was my favorite. I think all of his albums still lurk in my house somewhere--I would play them for my daughters when they were growing up. Thanks for the memories, Dawn!

Oh tow fun . . . ! I too always remember that this is his birthday. It is so appropriate that "Puppy Love" was one of his first hits - isn't it? Sigh, those were sweet times & he was a great first crush. Just goes to show what good taste we have(!). . . because he has grown up to be such a honorable man. How fun to know there are others who remember too. . . Thanks for this post! xo, Bren

Oh, how funny, Dawn. I had a crush on Bobby Sherman, first, and then Donny. Several years later, I met him on a number of occasions, when I was living in Provo, Utah. He was very nice. His mother was a real sweetheart, too. I use to live in their apartment complex, The Riviera Apartments. That's where I saw them all the time. Later, I moved to a basement apartment in a home. But I will never forget the days of living at "the Riv" and seeing Donny and Marie come home from filming their show. They always looked exhausted and thin.

My goodness, I hesitate to even think how long ago that was...

Boy, am I old.

If you enjoy uplifting Christmas stories, I'm posting them throughout the month on my blog. There is a new one up today.

Blessings
Elizabeth

OMG I thought I was the only one! I have the album a time for us and used to listen to it even a few years ago. Don't have a record player anymore. Sad huh? LOL
Wonder if his fav color is still purple? tee hee.
Well have to scoot. Meaning to tell you THANK YOU FOR MY ORNIE and MaGAZINE! That ornament is staying out year round in my china cabinet with other special pieces. TOO CUTE> I will get a pic of it on the tree soon as I get it up after the weekend.

Oh My Goodness! I am sitting here visiting Blogs and "I'll Make A Man Out Of You" from the Disney movie, "Mulan" is playing! The Osmond Brothers was the first concert I ever attended. I adorned myself in a red polyester knit gaucho outfit, white go-go boots and a headband of silver sequins that I made myself :)
Ahhhhh, those were the days!

LOL! Me too Dawn! My son asked me if I knew what day it was and I said--yes it's Donny Osmond's birthday and he said--nope it's Pearl Harbor day. Would you believe I have met all of the Osmond's including the parents and Virl and Tom--except for Donny and Marie. What's up with that! One of these days.

Cathy :)
