Isn't this image adorable?
Plus sweet gifts from Mexico ~ AND....
The first photos of the grandbaby!

I fell in love with this image. Sandi of Wayside Treasures sent me a wonderful email with photos from a baby shower that she gave her daughter in law. She had some great ideas and used the vintage baby theme as well.

I told her I loved one of the cards that she used in the decorations and she scanned a copy of it for me to use. Then Saturday I received the original in the mail!! Don't you just love it? I want to use it on the invitations ~ Feel free to enlarge and right click to use it for yourself as well. I'm sure Sandy doesn't mind either!

Also a parcel arrived Saturday from Pattie at The Joy of Nesting ~ she sent me a gathering of treasures for my artwork!! Such wonderful goodies Pattie, thank you very much, it was so thoughtful of you!!! I just love embroidered pieces ~

I've started working on a new tutorial for you!!! This one will have a Christmas and winter theme. It will include three projects in one tutorial!! Hopefully I can get it posted on the Lessons from The Nest blog in the next couple of days ~

I received ultrasound photos in my email today from Brent and Emily!!! Photos of their sweet baby! What a blessing she is ~ I'm so very thankful! How in the world can I already love her? Well, I do ~

Believe it or not this time change actually has be wanting to go to bed earlier!! Who would have ever thought it?? I hope you have a wonderful week dear friends ~ Wishing you many blessings,

xxoo, Dawn

What a sweet, sweet picture of your granddaughter. I was "late" into the grandbaby thing, and I always wondered why my friends went on and on about theirs. My thought was "well, I know you can't love them any more than you loved your own children", true, but in a different way. So intense it's almost heartbreaking (in a good way)! I since can say it's the true icing on the cake of life! You're in for a wonderful journey, Dawn.

Dawn....so glad you love the little invitation! I am telling you girl you are in for one wonderful ride with your grandbaby. Our 1st granddaughter lived with us for four years after she was born and it was the most wonderful time of our lives! She stole our hearts from the beginning and we still just treasure that little girl. I can't believe she is NINE years old already! Where do the years go? Your granddaughter is very blessed to be born into such a loving home!
Blessings!

SHe's lovely! Ella looked like a little jelly bean the first time we saw her- but your grandaughter is BEAUTIFUL! And she will have the most beautiful Grandmother ever! What will she call you? I guess we really don't decide - the first grandchild does and it sticks for all the rest - Brian named me Grammie and at 21 still calls me that!
Have a wonderful week, my friend! I am soooo happy for you ALL!

It's so miraculous that we can see babies before birth. My doctor thought it was unnecessary (mine are 22 and 16), so I never got the thrill of seeing their pictures while they were so tiny.

What a blessing for you! Oh, and the card is so sweet.

Oh,Dawn, she is just precious.I cried when I held my first grandchild. It is so incredible! And when I heard about the first granddaughter, I had to go out and buy some of those tiny little socks with the lace around the top! Don't ask me why!! But just looking at that lace and that little bitty foot size just sent me over the edge! Get ready for so much joy!
