I am truly blessed with friends ~ plus a pincushion!

Look at this beautiful package that arrived on my doorstep today. The tissue alone was so pretty to me!
Yvette of The Charm House sent me the most wonderful treasure package!!!

She makes these adorable altered clothespins that I'm going to use at the little one's baby shower, aren't they precious?? And look at all the trinkets she sent to go along with them. Plus the sweetest pink gingham fabric that I think needs to be a tiny little spring dress for the grandbaby!

I love her chatter tile that she made and gifted me ~ and how in the world did she know this was my most favorite quote ever?! A star ornament that she made, and the most wonderful packet of ephemera...with baby photos!! I'll be sure to scan and share them with you :)

Be sure to visit Yvette's web site to see her wonderful artwork for purchase ~

Thank you so very much sweet friend ~ everything is absolutely wonderful!!!

I started working on the new nest assemblage tutorial but for some strange reason became distracted by this little baby shoe. It was one of Noah's when he was just a baby and I ran across them the other day when Emily and Brent visited. I was looking for goodies to give to her that I had saved and found these little sweeties. I don't think he ever wore them as they look quite new but I loved the color and had to put together a pin cushion for you! I still need to add the Christmas stocking to my Etsy store and I'll be adding this as well ~

The beginnings of a tutorial!

An image gift for you ~ click to enlarge, right click to save.
I have one more with a nest I will be giving you too!

I've discovered an amazing fact. Women are innately creative. That creativity is a part of our being. No, you don't have to be a painter or artist to be creative. Just making a wonderful dinner for your family is creativity in action. Busying a bored child with something to do or making your home cozy for your family, both are so creative. I truly believe too, that we CRAVE it. That at the end of the day, when your head rests on your pillow, you look back and think of what you've done, created and accomplished. It's part of being a woman and is so very fulfilling.

Wishing you a wonderful, creative Thursday!
xxoo, Dawn

I just have to tell you how much I adore the baby shoe pin cushion-you are amazingly creative! Thank you for inspiring me once again!
I think as mothers we want to nurture our loved ones and creativity is born from there.
I can't wait to see what else you do-I am so glad I found your blog...

Hi Dawn,

Another lovely post. I know that I need to be creative. I've been so busy with so many other things within my extended family in the last two years, that I sort of lost touch with that part of myself. I'm enjoying the little bit of time that I'm finding for it now, and feel more myself for being "there" again.

Thank you for this beautiful image, and for the lovely botanical that you shared a few posts back.

That shoe was just meant to be a pincushion.
