My sweet treasures from the field trip!

I had to wait a day to post the photos of my goodies from Antiques in Old Town because I had so many photos of the store in my last post! It was incredible. I wish I could have taken you all with me!! First, look at the sweet bag my things were tucked in, simple but so pretty to me ~

I know, I know, I'm nuts but I found the most wonderful old doll dresses all tattered up....eeek! I love them! A beautiful old reader with sweet illustrations, falling apart but that's why I love it....an amazing jar that's just calling for a nest with eggs....speaking of eggs, I found these pretty beige ones and blue speckled ones too.....3 little butter pats that are wanting to become Christmas ornaments.....a pepper shaker for Dennis to cook with.....a tiny pig book, look at their faces!......an old stained baby slip and why did I buy this except that it's just so precious, the bodice of an old baby dress...that's right, just the bodice, no skirt, no sleeves ~ I know, I know, I'm nuts.

If you ever see something on my blog from an old book or something that is copyright free that you'd like for me to scan, just ask me, I'll be happy to share!! I'm going to scan the sheet music that Nita sent me about the birds in the next day or so ~ for you Laurie and for all the other bird lovers too!

Thank you always for taking the time to stop by and your kind comments ~
I hope you have a wonderful Monday!!

xxoo,
Dawn

Great stuff!!!!!! I love that big jar and those eggs, and those baby clothes are beautiful!! I'm sure Brent won't mind if I have a boy and we dress him up in little dresses!! My mom is still telling me every time I talk to her that the babe is a girl. She would be the first in a long line of boys!!!!!!!
Love ya'll!!

The butter pats are going to become Christmas ornaments? I am trying to imagine what that will be like, but falling short.

Wonderful treasures to make your heart sing, Dawn. Have a great Monday yourself!

Dawn , I used to go to that shop a lot -- my Mother and Father -in law lived in that area --they have both been gone for many years now , still miss them . The shop was almost all country items at that time -- How lovely it is --will have to make a field trip soon . Your items are precious and we all love to see how you add to the and make them an expression of your heart - Kathy - GA

Oh Dawn!!!!
Can I borrow some money - wait, make that A LOT of money since I linked over to the antique shop's blog and will be visiting there SOON!!! What a delightful looking shop!

Something to look forward to..I'm so excited!

Your treasures are delightful and fortunately for you {smile} a lot of us understand the purchase of the partial bodice. Relax, you're normal. Thought I'd mention that since I was detecting just a hint of questioning in your tone!

Blessings on your day,
xoxo

I love the possibilities of the jar, and the soothing neutrals of your lovely little gems! Once you do the butter pat ornaments, please share with us! It sounds wonderfully fun!

I am looking forward to seeing what you do with the partial bodice. I let "well meaning" friends convince me to toss many things like that from mom's estate. Should have followed my heart!

If possible, I'm in love with the bird pictures, especially the little girl in bed with the word Joy above.

I have some very old childrens books. I just need to find out how to check for copyright.

Blessings!

Hello Dawn:
First of all I love your blog and visit often. I know I will always see beautiful images and read lovely words.
The pages from the Three Little Pigs story book are amazing. Will you be putting it on your ETSY Shop? My Mother loved pigs and now I find myself gathering such items. Please let me know as I'd love to purchase it.
Thanks,
Alice

hmmmm, all this makes sense to me! I love the little girl in bed with her teddy. I just love that green color they used in old books. Looks like a good time was had by all.

I finally make it back for a visit after my Chicago trip and getting my classroom ready for school to start, and my spirit just says, "Ahh." Your blog feels like a great stretch after being cramped for a long time. It's good to be back.
