OK, I admit it, I'm a goober ~

Well, as you know, Gail's having a contest over at the Mind Wide Open blog . . . and I just so happen to be on her design team for the Shabby Cottage Studio website, right? I thought that I was supposed to participate in the creative contest that she was having so I made this piece of artwork using her beautiful image:

Well, come to find out I didn't have to make it after all! Design team members are not entering ~ which I totally get now that I've put my thinking cap on!!

Please remember though, if you're entering the competition over at Mind Wide Open to get your entry emailed to Gail by midnight tonight EST!!

Oh well, that just shows you what a real goober I am! I'll be adding it to my Etsy store very soon ~

I have some wonderful new things that I'm cooking up for you so please stay tuned!!!

Wishing you a great Monday! xxoo, Dawn

Hi Dawn
What a beautiful piece you created. The soft muted colours with the dried rose petal, vintage lace & buttons along with the message made a gorgeous shadow box. Your 4th of July looked like tons of fun! :-} Have a great Monday Dawn.

Never, in my wildest dreams, would I think of you as a goober. LOL. Your piece is just gorgeous. And now I'm glad I did not play, cause I would have fallen extremely short of the expectations. Can't wait to see what else you are working on.

Haha, that is funny. But you made one gorgeous piece of art!! I love it, it's so neat!! I have yet to understand how you come up with these ideas. Did I tell you I am in love with your fairy jars? So cool. I about fell out of my seat when I saw them.
I miss ya'll so much it hurts. It's been stressful here, and I wish I was there with ya'll sitting on the couch talking and laughing. I love ya'll!! Hope to see you soon!!

Well Thank GOODNESS!! None of us would have had a chance!! ;) It is absolutely fabulous! I love the way you frame your pieces in vintage/antique boxes/drawers. The look is fantastic!
I'm a goober too! I thought that the entries had to be in by Sunday midnight.. so I was frantically trying to get to a point to call it finished last night. Oh well!!

Dawn, I know I'm repeating myself because I left a comment on your blog about how lovely it is. Now I must tell you that your art work is very, very well done and exquisite(hope I spelled that right). I really have not seen the match of it-you put every thing together so well! I guess that's what being an artist is all about. You are blessed, and you have blessed me and my eyes! Debra

Dawn,
You are so funny and encouraging but never a goober! Thanks for the push~I quit waffling and did it. I don't know if I will do it again, too much pressure and not enough pleasure! Sweet Dreams, I am assuming you are dreaming sweetly as I write this as it is almost 1:00 am!
